Wheel base is Fanatec CSL Elite+, pedals are CSL Elite w/ load cell brake pedal, wheel is Clubsport F1 (the one that comes with the DD1).
Fanatec CSL Elite settings (w/ load cell brakes):

FF - 95
DRI - -05
FEI - 50
FOR - 90
SPR - 70
DPR - 80
BLI - OFF
SHO - 70
BRF - 50 (If you have the Load Cell Brake pedals)
In-game settings:
Controller: 10
FFB Max Torque: 5
FFB Sensitivity: 10

I can usually get gold within 5 laps of trying. This track is tough. I’m in controller. The last high speed corner sends me to the shadow realm 90% of the time. 😩 thought TT. 🍻 on the greet video.
Have you tried playing with the controller sensitivity?

Can only get down to 1:40.198 with controller. I’m done doing time trials. Wasted my entire weekend and today doing this shit when racing is more enjoyable. Anyone who gets to gold with a controller with that Japanese dude in first is a god. I’ve done all the tutorials zero assists everything. Over it, I wanted to break my controller
The handling is not the same for controller and wheel. PD should have separate times for different inputs because I was only able to get a 1.39.584 with controller, and I'm still in silver. I feel like I pushed as hard as I could, seems impossible to go faster
1:39.8 but I'll get it I think!
im always stuck with 1.39.9 in a controller, but for some reason yesterday i can easily get 1.39.437 just by increase the controller steering sensitivity to 10 (my default settings was 4)
It's so hard though it is doable. I managed a 1:39.333 this afternoon on PS4 with a controller and to be honest it felt like there was more in it but I'd been sweating on it for 2 hours and hit the wall. I map my DRS button to L1 and rubber band it so I don't have to switch between DRS and braking. That way you can constantly cover the brake (assuming you use L2 for brake). Hopefully that helps a little.
Really tough one. I just can't make it through 130R without losing the car. That's really annoying 😫

I think that because of the inside curb, downforce is drastically reduced which causes the spin. But thats just my guess.
I beat Sekiro and this time trial made me quit maybe I'll complete it tomorrow atill seems like a waste of time.

I agree with that; it's tricky to get a good feel for this car, and then trying to push it at a track like Suzuka makes it difficult!

Am so bad at this can't get below 1.40s I thought am so bad at the esses but looking at secotor times it seems not I get 28.0 then 45.5 not very far off I lose it all later
You use the external camera? Or hood camera?
Chase cam most of the time! I only go on roof cam if:
- I'm in a tall/big car, like the pickup trucks
- it's nighttime
- (sometimes) if it's raining
With a contrôler, it's not the same
I agree, which is why I set some time last night to record a (hopefully) safe Gold time of under 1:39.0 on the controller. It's possible to get 1:38 on controller, but it's a whole other beast vs. Wheel... 😥
First day I did a 39.950, I thought it was enough for gold. And then I quit the session only to find the 1st place improved by two tenth couple minutes ago, so I was dropped down to silver. Second day I did a 39.864, only 0.007 behind the gold time. Yesterday I finally did a 39.680, slightly better than the gold this time. Hope those top players don't improve again, tired of these VGT cars
P1 and 2 seem to be switching spots, so they might move the gold time, but by a smaller amounts.
