    We include all things to do with motorhomes, caravans and the great outdoors. We tour the UK and Europe in our 2018 Chausson Flash 757. We offer advice, tips and tricks, review campsites and associated products or services. We also make videos about other trips we take without the motorhome.

    You were lucky to have such good weather in Buxton. It’s a lovely site. And it seems like you have plenty to do walking from the site. Also useful to see how you fill up from aqua roll using extension to cigarette lighter 12v. Thanks for sharing

      We were a little sceptical at first about this site being in an old quarry, but loved it. This was the best day, I have 2 more videos one is live now a walk into Buxton & on Sunday a walk around country park up to Solomon's temple if you would like to watch them 👍😁

    When we were kids we would sit on the top of that quarry with the men that were drilling down and putting in the explosives. Then they would give us 1 hr to go home before detonating it. Health and safety didn't count for much in the 60's. 😂😂👍🏼

      Yes H&S was certainly not as strict then as it is today, I think it's gone to far now as people don't have any commonsense or concept of of danger unless they have it written down

      Hi Trev yes it's a nice site & around 25 minutes walk into Buxton. Castleton was my home village born & bred there, moved to Sheffield when I married Karen, I worked at the ugly cement works for over 43yrs until I took early retirement 2017

    Hi Andrew do you ever feel the need to tow a little car on your trips ? We have been giving it some thought. Best wishes John 👍

    • @andrew-karens-adventures
      @andrew-karens-adventures  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi John, you never know what the future holds, at moment we don't feel the need to have a tow car, it would have been nice to get a bus pass at 60 instead of 66.

    • @onthemove301
      @onthemove301 Před 3 lety +1

      Weve had four motorhomes, never less than 7 metres long. At first we used buses to get around, but then realised that wasn't always a good strategy while at C&MC Tintagel (buses every two hours) and then started driving a car behind the motorhome. Now we have a caravan, but don't enjoy towing. However the caravan has superior, for us, accommodation because it avoids draughts in the evenings and mornings from the cab. Especially in the shoulder seasons in the UK. Your mileage may vary.
