I love this rendition. This is so different from how I play it! I love how there’s so many ways to play the same song. It’s only proof that the composer is absolutely stunning.
Oh...my....god... this is incredible! I love the judgments you made in selecting the most important elements to focus on and how the melody sneaks in and out of the rest of the instrumentation. Standing ovation! 👏👏
You're the best, I love all of your covers. I have no idea how you capture the whole band and all of the sentiment behind the music with one set of hands and a piano.
What the actual f...? :O ...the sheer stamina! (let alone, the arrangement!!)... Tbh, I clicked on the vid because, knowing the original song, I thought a solo piano cover wouldn't have been possible - I suspected too much would be lost in the translation, but this is such a full and original interpretation. Really fantastic job!
I was very impressed by how you recreated that high F# glis sound. It sounded like you were actually bending the piano notes. I think you may actually be a witch.
Holy shit. The sound of the cover aside, this takes a lot of talent to pull off. Thank you for the good camera angle. The details on the notes, the way you manage the different octaves, that second verse. Beautiful.
You are really great at showing how great these individual compositions actually are compositionally, in a way that maybe doesn't get across as well in the originals (Not to say Burn the Witch isn't a great song in the original version). And i would just like to say, i love that you also covered "Power of Love" by John McLaughlin, as it is one of my favourite compositions ever!
@@SequoiaSoundsyour welcome! How about cover a song like Bodysnatcher or Go to Sleep? I'm curious how rock songs with a lot distortion like that implemented on piano haha

Great stuff again, you should have way more subscribers. One thing i must say is that the sustain is a little high and while this may sound better in real life it dampens the microphone picking up the other notes.
@YourPalCal Thank you so much! I agree that the reverb was set a bit too high, but it also has to do with the use of pedal against the amount of detail that I'm trying to convey - I'll probably always resort to using more pedal than I'd like especially when there is stuff that needs to be sustained underneath material that would ideally be played much more cleanly.
I don’t mean to be insulting but as a beginner I’m very confused, is this all played live or did you playback something during edit? I can’t even see you play the melody notes considering how fast it’s going
It's played live, but I missed a few notes here and there so I edited the worst offenders back in afterwards. A lot of the melody notes however are frequently alternating between the two hands, so the melody notes that I DID get probably aren't always easy to discern.....
You choose a difficult song to cover, but it turned out great!
@Mikhail Sashko
Thank so much, Mikhail! I'm glad it was worth the time and effort!
what the fuck man. this is seriously perfectly spot on

Good cover! Did you use the chords from the official AMSP Songbook or did you finds chords on your own?

Thank! I worked out the whole song on my own from scratch (I don't trust published songbooks to be that correct!)
