- Prince Rama Varma, accompanied by Sri S.R.Vinu, Sri B.Harikumar, Adichanallur Sri Anil Kumar, Payyannur Sri Govindaprasad and Sri Anantha Padmanabhan, gave a beautiful concert, (which Varmaji officially labels as an "Informal Concert", which has become a huge big hit among his fans and thus, an annual event) where he brought out a set of incredibly beautiful but mostly lesser known songs by various composers in a variety of languages, with riveting little explanations.
Here, Varma ji sings the Telugu folk song by Etla Ramadasa describing the Ten Divine Incarnations of Lord Vishnu, the Dasavatharams.

ఓ కేరళీయుని నోటి వెంట అద్భుతమైన తెలుగు వినడం చాలా బావుంది.మీ సంగీత సేవ కు ధన్యవాదాలు.

This song was first introduced in 1940 Telugu film Sumangali and the music director was the great carnatic musician/director/singer/actor Sri Chittoor V. Nagaiah. However the song has been edited and confined to few lines and few avatars and not in full. Subsequently a very few lines of the same song was sung by Pawan Kalyan as a parody (perhaps not knowing the value and meaning of the song) in another recent film. However we must thank him giving popularity for the verse. Sri Rama Varma made it more popular as Bhajan Keertana by teaching it in its full and proper form along with back ground of the composer.
