    I play Shanks at my locals (through proxies) and I can tell you from experience that the stage is terrible. You dont have any time to play it unless you're going 2nd and it is the first turn. Also try fitting in 3c rush Zoro. Zoro is one of Shank's best cards since it applies pressure early and acts as a psuedo blocker that you can easily defend and re use the next turn while you set up Yassop. I have tried control shanks and it is good but it gets swarmed very easily so I prefer rush shanks with a bit of control options (8c Rayleigh).

      @AnimeALX after some testing I'm considering removing Ace and the stage. Stage is nice sometimes though

      @@vamptcgAce is good if you go up against a lot of black decks but ace isn't necessary. I personally only play with 2 blocker Rayleigh since their value comes later in the game instead of on curve unless it's against the Warlord package. Remove stage immediately. It is just a brick in your hand most of the time and if you try to put it down going first then you are ruining your curve. If it had trigger play this card then it would be good but sadly it isn't. Running 4 7c Whitebeard is pointless. The best number to run is 2 and then some Rayleigh's if you're going the control route. 9c whitebeard is also an interesting option since it gives you some breathing room with the 2k buff and your leader ability. I also try and fit 2 Roger in any red deck. It is a must to get around blockers to push lethal especially if you have a 10c shanks already set up.

      @AnimeALX very unaligned on the Roger view. I think it's only good if BY luffy prominent.

      @@vamptcg not true. It is good against Green and Black due to them running a lot of blockers so sometimes throwing out Beckman to pop one won't give you game and if the opponent has 7c Hawkins on field then it is super hard to get rid of which is why you run Roger because Shanks struggles with 7k Blockers since Beckman can't trash them off of the odd curve. Rodger realistically should be a 1-2 of at the very least in every red deck since red has a history of getting blocked out of game winning swing in the end game and Roger allows you to keep pressure.

    It says when your opponent attacks. How would your opponent be able to attack on your turn?

    • @vamptcg
      @vamptcg  Před 16 dny

      Because it's once per turn. Not listed as opponent's turn. States you van Activate that effect. There are a few ruling questions around how his effect works. While I do state I dont believe it'll work that way. This leader is really good if his effect can be used during either turn to -1000 with condition for other turn being opponent attacking

    I think lucky roux is better than 5c Rayleigh, since it's searchable and it has a pretty good effect as well.
    Also, Uta is just film type I believe, so I don't think she's searchable by the event.
    Other than that, list looks solid
