- Lets take a look at the dark horse comics series for Aliens Labyrinth. We follow Dr Crespi and Dr Church onto a space station where there is some testing on the xenomorph species of aliens. The colonial marines are on hand, but so are the xeno's! This is one of the darker comics that I've ever read on Aliens, so be forewarned!

I had this book when I was a kid, and it made a definite impression on me. This is beyond doubt the way they should have gone with the movies. This gets SO dark.
I was like 15 or 16 when i read this comic. Still millions times better than AVP movies, Prometheus and Covenant combined. Xenomorph works best in horror setting.
He left out Crespi's alien hive experience.

I had this book too. I was about 8 years old at the time. This book was wild, it was disturbing af. 30 yrs later it popped into my head again. I still remember this book, that's quite the impression.
This is maybe the most twisted and dark Aliens story ever and that's saying something.

The feeding...when he was in the hive. And his mother. I wish this was made into a film but it would be messed up so bad cuz big production companies wouldn’t even get close to do it justice and they would sue or shut down any other indie kids with a knack for being good at what they do trying to to do this. But imagine seeing this in live action?? At least a CGI love death and robots style at LEAST PLEASE!! Haha

mohan alihuddin they ripped off elements of Labyrinth in Alien Resurrection, Prometheus and Covenant. cut it up into pieces and put elements of it in all those films. Diluted

I've been a lifelong ALIENS fan. I had all the xenomorph action figures, aswell as all the comics (colonial marines,etc). I remember clear as day when I first found the 4 part Labyrinth series as a kid. This story grabbed you from the start. It's so unique and heads & tails above any other. Imo especially the "flashback" portion of Church in the hive. Damn, it was so good. So real & captivating. Again, best ALIENS comic story by far. Any fan should take the time to check it out. You will not regret it.
Killian Plunkett is a favorite artist of mine, he was the lead art director on The Clone Wars TV show and I met him at Star Wars Celebration. He did an amazing sketch cover for me and is the nicest guy. Love his work on Aliens as well.
This is no doubt the best Aliens comic you'll ever read.
Stronghold is also amazing.

I am, out of respect, he does good work...but I havent watched any other alien channels and vids in years, if I can. It just makes me stress about what I should or shouldn't be covering, so I try to do my own thing.

I read this as a kid and wondered why it wasn't made into a movie.
In hindsight , I don't know who would green light that project 😂.

It's a cool and creepy story, but I never bought into the idea of the Alien just dying in captivity. It's the "perfect organism." It would be eternally patient, waiting for its moment to escape and capture new host organisms.
The idea of the creature just dying of loneliness doesn't sit right.
Not loneliness it is lack of queen contact over many years. Church wore it down.

I read this and colonial marines and genocide great comics. Nothing in the comics seems out of place in the context of the alien universe. Ridley Scott should collaborate with Dark Horse comics, even directly with an editor of these series .

Wrong, remember what a stinkeroo Alien Resurrection was? And it cost $87 million in 1997 and only made $45 million at the box office. These comic book stories only would work as movies if they were turned into CGI animation at a reasonable cost

So a human on FITR displays those characteristics, would a psychopath be the perfect weapon against the alien hive?
I don't think so. What makes someone a psychopath is that the part of their brain that controls compassion or empathy simply doesn't work properly, however this has nothing to do with fear so psychopaths would most likely still be killed or at the very least cocooned.

Are these stand alone comics or is this a continuation of the movies? I admit I havnt seen all the alien movies but I’m loving all the lore with these and predators. Is this something I can pick up and like without knowing every single past detail?

I read all four issues of labrynth the other day and it is crazy good, super intelligent writing and extremely gnarly, shit had me feeling impacted for a bit after i read it u know what I mean

saw 1 of the covers of Aliens: Labyrinth. Seems like the alien is grabbing the engineers head? (The suit hes wearing looks identical to the engineers) Did the writer/artist actually saw the engineer as the engineers being portrayed in Prometheus?

Try reading the BOOK it was based on, and also Berserker and AVP: War. Why is it that videos all seem to think the comics are a thing until themselves?
I know they are based on books, I own the labyrinth book and many others in the dark horse universe, but when most my viewers read the comics, thats what I chose to focus on.

Sorry, my bad! I think youtubers mostly cover the comics for the art to show in the video, and the comics are a much faster read. That said, I do need to cover the books sometime in a seperate video. Thanks for the feedback, and I really hope you have a great day man!

Canon is not take what you like and what fits you best; its the opposite. Canonical events are what the creators decide as central to their storytelling and officially having taken place.
Doesn't matter as there is no reference to it and it is contained.
Where would be a good place to start reading these comics? I been watching videos of these and the stories are good.
the earth hive series that picks up right after aliens is a great place, but most of the stories arent connected to each other, so its just a ton of seperate stories, so start anywhere really.
