      You are right! But the decision making has been made even harder. As LPG is half the price, at 6L consumption, you'd have to calculate as in 3L
      But the rest is not that far away, 3.6 and 4.2..
      Honestly the 130 Tce seems to be the winner for me

      @@1001cars of course not... for primarily city driving there are so called "city cars", there is public transport, etc... You buy Duster to go beyond the city... Duster is perfect to take your family to the seaside, to go camping, to transport your bike... Or not? For 90% city driving I would buy a small car like Citroen C3 or sth like that.

Looking forward for another test that would illustrate how much do they consume in a less suburban/rural environment, as - let's put it out straight - favors any kind of fuel consumption test, as it doesn't include a long enough highway scenario, nor denser city traffic. @theanswer1993 I tested one last week. For 270km one way and back, 98% highway with moderate saturday traffic i managed 5.7l/100km. With speed around 110-120 cruise control and max 140 when overtaking. Thing is, there is no noise from the engine even at high speeds, but the wind noise after 130 is a bit too loud. Thats because the front windshield is more upright than the last model. It has more of a suv feel rather than a lifted hatch. And the test vehicle was 4x4. Hope this helps 😊

      @@Amazin040 5.7L is pretty acceptable for a car with 4x4 and squared like a brick. What kind of consumptions do you get in 90kph roads? Is it a good daily driver as a main car? Looks pretty cheap to run taking into consideration what it offers!

      @@anonimxsidecas with autopilot the engine shuts off a lot. Its a mild hybrid, not as economical as the full or a plugin hybrid. The highest constant i saw was 6.7, but it was a long hill on the highway. With low speeds, it drops to 5-5.3. It was a bit windy and outside temp was 36-37 degrees. Its made for country roads (70-90km max). Thats where this cheap suv shines. Like i said, i wanted to see highway engine performance. So i mainly tested there. Also, i ordered mine today 😁 I live in a rural area, where roads are mirages and in the winter you need capable cars. So for those roads and a little highway drive each month, its 👌. My parents have the old one, bought last year. It does everything perfectly. Cost to run and buy is super low. I also tested rivals such as the Vitara and Tucson, they are more expensive and performed worse(which doesn’t make sense really). So, to answer your question, consumption should be low for those roads and its a decent everyday car. You should go and test one, im sure all dealers have the model now ( :

    well, what can I say, nice effort and there is value in comparing the three....BUT, real life consumptions are certainly higher than these.....on my 4x4 110 dci, average difference between ECU calculated consumption and real one (diesel I have to fill in on gas station) is between 0.7 and 1 liter/100km......and I do keep record of every topping up...now being at 165000 km 😎...and I drive pretty conservative 😇

      @@1001cars again, it is not about modern or not so modern cars that I commented, it is more on the skewed consumption rates "modern" cars (ECU's) report to their drivers. In this particular case it is the MediaNav of Dacia Dusters. I appreciate your replies and comments (sorry for sounding offensive, that was absolutely not my intention) but my point is that these figures are NOT accurate ....and, to wrap it up, you wrote that "the biggest difference which I noticed in modern cars was no larger than 5%". Why? Did you check it? If no, you can undermine the results shown by computer but you CANNOT be sure that these results are wrong, what you are doing. Yes, I had few situations where the consumption showed by computer was LARGER than in reality. It is enough to check my other fuel consumption videos.

  • @GabrielVoinea

    If you want to get a real consumption, go on the highway at 130 km/h, and you will be shocked when you see consumptions of over 7.5 l/100 with all engines. So, at bicycle speeds and on the open road, even with my 20-year-old Logan, I consume less than 5l/100km.

    • @1001cars
      @1001cars  Před 14 dny +2

      What I showed is REAL consumption, but not in scenario which you THINK is real, especially if you cannot drive faster than 120 km/h (because of the speed limits). Also: show me how you drive over 90 km/h on a bicycle :)

    • @anonimxsidecas
      @anonimxsidecas Před 13 dny +1

      And that's not even true, the sweet spot for engines is 90kmh to achieve the best consumption. Low speeds are more ineficient and more if you have to brake and accelerate constantly, which is the case in the video. So the fact that he achieved 4,2L with the 1.2L micro hybrid is pretty reasonable and shows that driving efficiently and using the brain can get you excelent numers. Obviously if you drive at 130kmh (a really inneficient speed for any car), the consumption will be higher, but another used tested it and said that the consumption was at 5,7L x 100km after 270km. So yes, this car is efficient, and if you drive it efficiently, it can get you the numbers shown in the video under REAL circumstances and constant acceleration and braking. Good job @1001cars!

      @@1001cars Over short Distances small influences will have a big influence on the displayed amount. And I am not even talking about, that the Bordcomputer can be up to 0,5l inaccurate. One heave acceleration and you get a whole other number. Theres a reason why most real test are performed for about 300km. Small influences will get cancelled out and the real consumption can be calculated.
      I know a lot of TCe 130 owners and no one gets really a 4.2l / 100km consumption. Most are at about 6 to 6.5l. If you are driving really slow and careful maybe 5.7 or something. Thats what I mean, 30km driving around some countryroads is way to inaccurate, even for the trip computer to tell

    • @1001cars
      @1001cars  Před 7 dny +3

      So, show me REPETEABLE test on 300 km distance. Like, sb. made 3 or even more runs with exact the same number. So, send the link to these "most real test on ~300 km distance", but remember, these test should be repeated with the same result.
      Longer distance = more situations which can influence the final result. I made many times the test on 33 distance (this is my typical highway distance) and on the 100 km distance and on the 200 km distance. The result was exactly the same - of course I had to make such test early morning when there was no traffic at all. At least here you see if there was sth. was wrong with the traffic, unnecessary acceleration or anything like that. Can you show me similar movies from 300 km distance?
      Second thing: yes, board computer can show incorrect consumption, but if you were present on the math lessons, you know that it is not inaccurate by 0,5 l/100 km (or anything precise number) but by some percent. So, there is no difference between 2% error on 4,5 l/100 km on 30 km distance and 2% error on 4,5 l/100 km on 300 km distance in terms of the difference between board computer and consumption on the fuel station.
      If sb. does not know how to drive in eco way, it is not the reason why you can call my test inaccurate or unreal. You even did not check what scenario of driving did they have etc. And you are trying to compare SOME consumption (without any kind of info about driving style etc.) with the consumption shown in this video with specified every detail including recorded every meter of the trip.
      Explain, how is it possible: Kona on ~400 km distance and the same Kona on 30 km distance

      1st: there is no 3 runs on the same test, only one run, we do not know they repeatability (they even talk about it and they know they cannot make exactly the same test with exactly the same result again)
      2nd: they achieved 4,1 l/100 km with the TCe engine which - as you said - is impossible, and "no one gets really a 4,2/100 km", here they got 4,1, so even better. So?
