I think they used a double loop pedal for the drum effect - right? This album is untouchable and the instrumentals make me respect it even more. So glad it was released!!!! Listened to this album obsessively for the first 3 years after it came out, and still on occasion in 2021. The instrumentals are so cinematic. I'd love to see a bad ass sci fi film with a score like this.
