Those guys got it made ...a pool table, a kitchen, a frig, new trucks! Never had any of that back in 68. Back then anything considered new was a hand me down from the air force. Times have changed but looking back it was the best years of my life and I didn't even know it. Semper Fi
I did a couple of MOS's in the Marine Corps but ARFF was my favorite and kept doing it for as much as I could. All very good Marines to work with and I enjoyed that job a lot despite seeing quite a bit of aviation carnage and destruction.

@@huntergonzales7711 does this MOS give you all the training requirements to be a firefighter as a civilian after you get out? I’m thinking about re-enlisting and trying this out.
@@ltdannn516 so you get all the certs you need for the civilian side of firefighter but only for some departments so like for instance when I get out I want to work for LA County and my certs would transfer over but I’d have to go through their academy. But you get Fiirefighter 1 firefighter 2 HAZMAT ops and awareness. You can also go back and get further training so EMT, rescue technician and HAZMAT technician
Do these guys ever go to combat or are they always at base?

15 weeks in San Antonio, Texas for 7051. 6 weeks in Pensacola, FL for 7011.

Abraham Sanchez yeah I’m sure they are probably bored throughout the day, but I think it’s a perfect mos for me, do you know any other mos that are cool? Also what was your asvab score if you remember?
