Didn't His original followers ( in the year 30/33 )expect Him during their time?

This is a more complex question to answer than one may think. Certainly some believers expected an imminent return of Christ but others realized it would take some time. Paul and John both wrote about things that would have to happen before His return. Jesus Himself made a number of statements that indicated a delay before His return. A complete discussion of this would be too long to include here

@@four12global So, what your telling me is that the bible is unclear about when jesus will return, or the answer is too complicated and would take a lot of " discussions " for a simple answer?

@@mrwallace1059 The Bible is clear that Jesus will return but gives no clear indication of when - only the Father knows the day and hour (Matthew 24:36). Any interpretations of Scripture that claim to be able to calculate the date would therefore be incorrect.

3:55, this passage helps a lot with this question. Hope that helps.

@@four12global yip! All we know for sure is that he will return as the king of glory, and our job is not to try work it out and know when. But rather prepare as much people for Jesus that we can before he comes.
