    Bought one of these and had problems with steam leakage. Bosch engineer said that you cannot set the middle rack at an angle and both sides must be level. So your demonstration is contrary to Bosch advice in that respect.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před rokem +2

      We sell a lot of dishwashers with the top cutlery tray now, but the main comment is that it will reduce the overall height in the top basket. If you have tall glasses then this can be an issue. Also if you are not into sorting the cutlery in the top tray, then a standard cutlery basket may be the way to go.

    Hi there, I have bought this machine this week and the user manual says that the quick wash cycle is 35 mins but I see the express cycle is 50 mins and it doesn't reduce with SpeedPerfect+ setting. Could you please let me know how to set the 35mins wash cycle in this machine?

      Are you sure you have the SMD6ZCX60G? The reason I wonder, I downloaded the User Manual - thinking of buying it as I've got a sweet deal on one - and there's no mention of time in the manual at all.

    Hi, I've just bought the Bosch SMS6ZCW00G which is similar to this one.
    [1] I don't want to use the cutlery drawer and have removed it so the top drawer has more height, I assume it will work OK as you say you can remove it when using the spray thing with only the bottom drawer in position?
    [2] Re the top drawer, can the supports on the right side of the drawer be removed? My cups/mugs would sit better if against the side of the drawer rather than be pushed towards the centre of the drawer which gives them less support under their rims. I don't put crystal glasses into the dishwasher so wouldn't use them but don't want to destroy the supports trying to take them out if they are not supposed to come out!
    [3] Lastly the supports at the back of the bottom drawer seem to be similar, they can probably stay but would also like to remove them, so can they be removed?
    Thank you, your video was very good and sold me on the Bosch I now have.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před rokem +1

      Yes you can use the dishwasher without the top basket in. As long as they are the plastic ones, then yes you should be able to remove them.
      Most of the extra plastic parts within the drawers should just clip on if you wanted to remove them.

    • @gwendawakefield1704
      @gwendawakefield1704 Před rokem

      @@lords-electrical Thank you, I have just unclipped them all.
      Thought it was best to try and remove them incase they harden up once the dishwasher is used. Does does allow my mugs to sit better.
      Also removing the cutlery drawer and lowering the middle basket once allows my tea plates to fit. Thank you.
      I am surprised how close the plate dividers are and thought if I loaded in each one they just wouldn't clean, so pleased you mentioned this in your video. I also like the idea of being able to drop just one side of the top drawer to help drain the contents.
      Your video helped a great deal, thank you

    Door assist seems to be very sensitive, whenever I close mine it triggers the door release motor…

    • @mein_tipples
      @mein_tipples Před 2 lety

      Just an update on this, to state that this door assist feature has gotten worse since installation back in August of last year. I'm having to close the door several times to get it to lock.
      Needless to say I'm not impressed, and if given the choice again I'd go with a model without this built in.
      It's also an independent motor to the machine itself, meaning you can't turn it off in software.

    4 h for a wash programme now that is excessive! My hotpoint dishwasher that I bought in 1979 which is actually made by Bosch only takes just over an 1h on the economy wash but is slowly dying so am looking for a new dishwasher. They haven’t changed much but there’s lots of new features but they don’t seem as well built as my old one. I may get it repaired as the new ones seem very cheap and flimsy. Are Miele dishwashers any good as they seem better quality? Keep up the in-depth reviews as this helps a lot. Much obliged!

    Bosch instructions for this dishwasher are Germlish -
    1. Insert the non-heating appliance plug of the power cable into the appliance.
    2. Insert the mains plug of the appliance into a nearby socket.
    Are there two power connections? Shame your dishwasher was already fitted, I am intrigued to know. Bosch also seems to think an electrician is needed to fit this model...
    My last Bosch is suffering from the dreaded E0:15 error, where water is leaking from around the seams between the metal inner and the plastic tray where the motor and pump are located. The Bosch before that had Thailand relays that overheated and tried to set the control panel on fire...

    Had one installed today. Didn't realise it didn't have a cutlery basket and wish I'd held onto the one we had. The drawer is a bit more of a faff, but hopefully will prove worth the extra step of pulling out the drawer just to put in a single teaspoon or a single knife. Spent ages reading the manual figuring out how to move the top basket down, realised it was now too low for plates on the bottom and then spent ages figuring out how to raise it again. Don't want Home Connect and can't get it to change from Eco to any other programme, so gave up and hit start on Eco - suspect some items won't be completely clean. This is a Bosch replacement and we've been happy with it for years. Developed a fault, which I suspect we could have had fixed, but my OH just decided to order a new one. So used to old one, it'll take a while to figure everything out. Hopefully, the programming issue will be sorted out tomorrow. 4.75 out of 5 - excellent delivery and fitting service via John Lewis, plus removal of old machine. Only downside is that, having read the relevant section of the booklet and watched this video, I still can't select any programme except for Eco. Tomorrow is another day.

    You have missed the most important thing for me and that is I have solar pannels and they also the hotwater in the emarsion tank......and you can connect the dishwasher to the HOT water FEED not the cold water feed and use the spair hot water during the offpeak time so you are using solar water heated water so the machine dose not heat the water it uses your excess hotwater tank! (sms6zdw48g) page 37 of instruction book basic settings A:01 for hot feed)

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před 11 měsíci

      That is great that you can do this and clearly a very efficient way of using the dishwasher if you have the hot water already there. I just didn't mention it as it is a very rare thing for someone to do as most of the time the dishwasher is connected to a cold water feed.

    • @michaelranger9104
      @michaelranger9104 Před 11 měsíci

      In my case even my washing machine takes the hot feed so dose not use electric to heat cold water why pay for cold water to be heated when you have a tank of it already sitting ther ready to go.......if you tell people of small but important energy saving then more people would do it and save on there electric bills and there eco health......even Bosh do notgive the power consumption on a cold feed and a hot fee so you can see the power savings between the two.....@@lords-electrical
