Nepali Rock Band | Nomads | Naya More | Nepalese Rock

Nomads is a very famous Nepali Rock Band that delivers modern new age classy Nepali Rock. Rock music in Nepal saw a boom from the early 70's. The history of rock music in Nepal dates back to the 70s when there were a few acts influenced by Western bands such as The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and later Led Zeppelin, The Who, the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple and Bob Marley. Bands in Kathmandu consisted mostly of local people from Kathmandu(capital city and famous hippie destination during 70's), who got close with the hippies around the world. The Kathmandu Valley is the musical center of rock, blues and metal scene in Nepal. Many new Metal bands have emerged in Kathmandu valley. These days, metal, jazz and blues has been highly appreciated by the Nepali music lovers. Rock, Blues, Jazz and Metal are evolving in Nepal with much improvement in quality and performance. Nepal's cultural heritage has a vast history of art and culture. Nepali Pop or Nepali Modern Songs are hugely influenced by the Nepali Folk Songs or Nepali Folklore. Because of the close proximity with the western world the music of the western civilization also spread pretty fast in this culture. Rock Music became the natural destination for Nepali Songs. Nepali Songs started being composed with a modern more contemporary and edgy outlook. This movement of Rock Music in Nepal not only changed the face of music in Nepal but the waves also affected its neighboring countries. Specially Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong which has a large number of Nepalese population also got affected by this movement.
This album "Nomads-Naya More" is an out and out Rock album recorded by this Rock Band Nomads. This is a typical Pop-Rock sound that is a rage amongst the young generation. The album has eight tracks that is surely going to please the average Nepali Rock Music lovers.
