Que maravilla de documento, poder vivir la obra entre ensayos y bambalinas... y luego poder disifrutar de algunas escenas. resultado de tanto trabajo. Werther tiene una música maravillosa y no cabe la menor duda de que Alfredo Kraus ES Werther. Dificilmente alguien llegará a superar al MAESTRO en sus creaciones, pero sobre cualquiera de ellas, dificilmente alguien llegará a igualarle en SU WERTHER,

Most elegant tenor
Una lástima que en este documento no sea optativo el escuchar la voz del Maestro en sus explicaciones o la traducción al ingles del comentarista. Sinceramente , a mi personalmente hubiese preferido los comentarios en la voz de Alfredo Kraus. Un buen documental.

Decades ago, I saw him perform this opera in San Francisco. His Charlotte was Renata Scotto. Now, if that wasn't opera, then nothing is.
I, too saw Kraus and Scotto in Werther at SFO. His aria pourquoi me réveiller gave me such goosebumps as I’ve never experienced in years of opera going. I actually bought tickets to see the performance a second time! Krause was so wonderful!

Alfredo était Werther comme Callas était Norma , le plus grand Werther du XXème siècle , je l'ai vu plus de 100 fois , Alfredo mon ténor chéri , UNIQUE !
