thanks for the early review. i am trying to understand ASICS strategy - people have questioned why they need the Kayano 29 and the 2000 as there seems to be a strong overlap. I am hoping the Kayano loses more weight and moves into the Saucony Tempus range - the first ever fun stability shoe. There seems to be a gap in ASICS now they have dropped the famous DS trainer - one of the few race / tempo stability options. I cant work out this strategy - because the replacement options all seem to be light / neutral racing shoes like the magic/edge and sky. I think ASICS quality however is amazing i have a pair of kayano 27 that have 700 kms on them and the sole is like brand new!

I have always found that the Kayano cushioning is just a bit TOO much, to the point where the softness of the shoe almost feels like I lose some stability when I run, though this could just be because I am a heavier person, and I have naturally hyperextended knees. I feel like Kayano would be a more viable option for a lighter runner who requires less guidance with their stability, and perhaps greater long distance comfort and impact resistance.
I have kayanos but the upper doesn't offer much give like a primeknit or a flynit. How does the cumulus and and gt 2000 compare?

How snug of a fit is the shoe, especially the toe box. I currently run in the Asics Nimbus lite 2 but had to size up half a size to accommodate a bigger toe box despite the shoe fitting larger on the heel and mid foot section.

Is it as narrow as previous versions? Asics got so narrow I had to move to their wide sizes.

Go with gt 2000 series, gt 1000 series for neutral, mild overpronation/underpronation. Upper durability may be good for gt 2000 its jaquerd mesh

@@RyansRunningReviewsYT I'll check it out. Starting to add running to my training schedule and my old shoes asics -1170 aren't cushioned enough. Found kayano 14 for cheap online but may even think of spurging and getting the 29 for running. I over pronate and want really good cushioning that can help the stride.
