This song uses the most visual language ever. How can you not see exactly what she sings of, in your mind's eye?
One of my all-time favorite Natalie songs!
Her voice is just as amazing as the very first time I heard it when I was 15 I’m 49 now. We all grow old but at least we have our wonderful memories. That is if we don’t get Alzheimer’s ..lol
Good to grow old with you my friend. I have listened to this song to sooth my mind thank you for helping me when we were young and I was crazy. You helped me grow. GOD bless you my friend.
She has always just made life better....
1996, Lackland AFB. Adoring her since then…
OMG...how I love her. The deepest feeling flowing from her voice.
What a voice! Loved her from the first time I heard her and am still so in love with her voice. Very soothing.
Natalie is so adorable! 😍
Awesome Accordion and George Clooney amazing on guitar, Natalie Great as always! The Accordion really is special here. What a great sound.
Ahhh...your voice is like a warm, breezy summer's day, relaxing by a slow, meandering river. You are such a gem, Natalie.
one of the most consistently beautiful voices ever.
When she went solo from 1000manics she pinnacled into a future Hall of fame

What could be more soothing than Natalie singing this by your favourite lazy river bank! Can think of a few e.g. Pin Mill by the River Orwell
Natalie, should be lauded, as one the finest singer/songwriters of her generation. The intonation, in every song she sings, is simply majestic.
This song evokes such a deep, lovely timeless peace
I love Natalie, sing like an angel!!
Transfixed by the very sound of it, and great storytelling to boot.

classic american country singing and instrumental music as we imagine it.
te amo Natalie, siempre!!
Started listening to her music about a year ago it's nice to list to good Vibes music nice and mellow
it makes me cry
Me too. Her talent is so touching....reaches in an GRABS your emotions.
natalie as beautiful and amazing as ever.
People need to realize that she is the singer of 9,999 manics first and a solo artist second. In the mid eighties she was my savior alongside The Smiths and R.E.M. Please never forget Wishing chair, In my tribe, Blind Man Zoo. The early fans carried her into the 90's. My back was sore.

My friend!
You cannot go wrong with a Ms. Merchant.
Its enchanting how your voice has changed over the years. Forever so perfect and touching but deeper like the ocean.
Sending much love! ❤️
Ur Diego my kahlo ♥️ Port Huron to Jamestown
Like your friend's super smart older sister you secretly had a crush on but would just rightfully put you in your place and there was nothing you could do or say because, older sister and she was right and...the crush too. And even though you were into noisier obnoxious music it was still nice to listen to if you came across it
Lovely Voice reminds me of Janis Joplin of some of her singing And somewhat of Tracey Chapman Thanks 🌺❣️🌺
Good to see George Clooney with a guitar!
Dobrá hudba 😂
George is shorter.
Natalie your soft and gentle brilliance is blinding. We don’t deserve you.
Still one of my favorite artists from my youth. She's right up there with The Sundays, Eddie Brickell, Sixpence None The Richer, The Cardigans and many other women that have a unique voice that can calm anyone down or get anyone going. Very good
Nice to see ER-era George Clooney making a comeback on the guitar.
It's her husband
