a comment from Pilestedt himself like 15-20 minutes ago from this comment
"So, to give an update on the three further country restrictions. It was an administrative error correction - they should have been part of the original restriction and it was noticed when the restriction was put in place for Tsushima.
This was noticed and executed independently by Valve.
While it doesn't look positive. It is not an indication of further restrictions. The conversation on region restrictions is still ongoing and is independent of this.
I have no further information. We (Arrowhead) still want the game to be available everywhere.
Hope you all have a great Saturday and I'm sorry I don't have a better update!"
this was posted on the Official Helldivers Discord.
Valve said they had nothing to do with it
@@puzzledotgamer5461 Do you have any sources on that?
@@puzzledotgamer5461 Sorry but I think I'll believe the CEO of the developer rather than some guy from a youtube comment section.
This is what I've been saying the whole time. So many people want to say no wrong its arrowhead, or Sony. People need to understand valve is involved in this drama. Thankyou for stating this.
@@SocksRocker Ah yes... Believe the guy who, according to his own admission, was not crystal clear on the PSN debacle and has had part of the blame. I'm not saying he shouldn't be believed, but I'm taking a few pinches of salt when it comes to anything Arrowhead and Sony say right now.
Sony: I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further.
As a ps5 user we do not condone Sony's actions.đ
Also as a PS5 user we don't give a fuck.
@@2BakedGaming why wouldn't you care that sony is being scummy? you're so weird lmfaoo
@@Giovanni-hp3cv is it weird when people do exactly what they say their gonna do?
â@2BakedGaming It is weird when you sell games to people who live in countries that purchased it and will not be able to play it after logging countless hours
@@tuckerlangston2412 it is weird when people don't read or take into consideration that they already can't access PlayStation games so why would this game have been any different. The oversight is the issue but it doesn't change the status quo for them.
Keep virtue signaling though.
đ for our fallen helldivers in those locked out countries.
they pulled the game off the market in these countries because of legalities, not because we didn't link accounts. @@Titus.70bce
â@@Titus.70bce what are you smoking? If we linked our accounts, people who can't make PSN accounts in their country would be banned anyway. That is the reason we all protested in the first place.
At this point i'm half expecting Sony to shut down the servers next week.
Sony heard the "No PSN linking" but somehow missed the "Helldivers dive together" part of the rallying cry that got them review bombed in the first place.đđ
They were hoping we would just accept it if they said they listened and did what they wanted anyway
i just got off there were 170K active divers. up 50K from last weekend peak. so while we may never see 220K plus again. people are playing
@@mikedicarlis6654 i only saw 100k and lower around 99k when were you on?
@@mikedicarlis6654 oh shoot 140k atm maybe weekend divers forgot it was friday yesterday my bad(yester was only bout 100k when i was on good to see the number up again was concerned. )
I have already changed my review back to negative with a clear cut message. That we dive together or not at all.
đI really hope Sony suffers the consequences of this and studios stop working with them.đ
its a joke enit
@@CloudPlays Have a look at their stockprice. Find a graph for the last month and notice what date it took a nosedive. We consumers do have some pull
Take a look at there stock price recently. Keep it up.
They can't when Sony is the IP holder.
ââHD2 is a $40 game it has no weight on Sonys stock price. They are buying Paramount or Cosigning for Apollo â@@infestedpotatoesBloomberg) -- Sony Group Corp.âs shares slid the most in almost three months after its proposal to buy Paramount Global raised financing concerns.
For the PSN link Sony shouldâve just made it a reward for players that did it. I bet everyone wouldâve done it and not cared at all.
Why the hell people shoud create an account on psn which as beeing hacked 1000 times
at this point i just think that sony is just cleaning up mistakes that they left out in the open so it doesnt happens a second time like the helldivers 2 community did i dunno thats my thought
You are not wrong, they are literally just cleaning it up, and not allowing to buy it in those regions while not enabling the PSN requirement (for not) because knowing Sony they will try it again. Right now Sony is causing more harm than good, player count is low, all my mates do not want to play the game cause of this and Sony's doubling down on shit.
@@Vash.Baldeus player count is not low
We still don't even know if it's Sony or Valve doing it. It's all speculation and people are mad because they feel like it.
đ I really hope Sony hears out the community and doesnât further drive them into the ground
So many things i missed since i been busy with IRL since wednesday so thanks for keeping us updated on news đ
đ we need all Helldivers Worldwide !
Sony isn't going to revert. This will be their strategy going forward. They'll only sell their published games in countries where people can get PSN accounts and they will make it explicitly clear a PSN account is required for any new releases. Also, they'll make sure the devs don't allow that requirement to be bypassed even if it's crashing the game. They relented to the Helldiver community because mass refunds and maybe even legal action wasn't worth the heartache, but if you think it actually changed anything going forward, it didn't. Well, except for convincing Sony to not sell games in non-PSN regions. That's what they meant with their "we're still learning what PC players need" message. They learned they don't need to sell games to non-PSN regions. Even though they dropped the requirement for Helldivers 2, they probably figure it'd be better to not relist the game and give people the impression that future Sony games will also come to those regions.
That just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.
â@gordogonk8068 I think sony will introduce psn to more countries over time.
@@gordogonk8068 I don't necessarily disagree with you, but you gotta remember Sony is a console gaming publisher first who is already used to not selling games in certain regions since you obviously have to have a PSN account for a PlayStation to work. So, doing the same on the PC side of things, if they plan on requiring PSN accounts going forward, isn't that big of an adjustment for them. Also, not relisting the Helldivers 2 in those countries might be a passive aggressive FU to the Helldiver community for forcing them to back down. I mean, they have to stop selling in non-PSN regions if they want to require a PSN account, it may as well begin with Helldivers 2. They may even be using it as a test i.e., "here's what our long-term PC sales Numbers would look like if we stop selling PC games in these countries."
Bar, you are sadly correct.
â@@btbarr16You can have a playstation account in those countries but they are locked to the console. If you upgrading or even switch to another console from the same gen, you need customer support to transfer your account.
What I wanted the new plasma gun to do, is to basically act like the scorcher, but with a burst, needing a charge-up before firing three scorcher shots one after another.
đ thanks for all the update news!!
Imagine working a job where you observe bank holidays
Can't believe this stuff is still going on
pc players man whiny cry babies
about "where we should be going", in all honesty bro, "where we should be going" is a completely made up concept. there is no real war, what most of us are doing are enjoying the game we paid for, in the way that we want. we're going to the planets that we enjoy fighting on, and we like some variation so we don't feel like we ACTUALLY joined some stupid army. we don't want to spend hours reading reddit, or believing any massive fantasy. we kill bugs, and we enjoy it. and we like a pretty planet or two.
I pretty much predicted this would happen with Sony and Steam. I dont think the other countries are coming back. This is out of Arrowhead's hands at this point since this is now starting to affect other PS titles on PC. Valve doesn't want another HD2 situation where they have to delist and refund a bunch of games, that opens them up for legal troubles and are rightfully playing it safe. This isnt a situation that will be ironed out in a week, expect this to be going on for months.
I have a question though, these countries that are delisted now because they cant make PSN accounts, do they legally sell Playstation consoles in these countries? đ
I can confirm they sell the consoles legally in the balkans, PSN not available :D
Its sony fault for the lack of coverage to these 177 countries. No investment to the infrastructure.
â @@stefanneshovski4378thatâs massive scummy.
Thatâs what Iâm thinking. I think this is out of Sonyâs and Arrowheadâs control now, and solely in Valveâs hands, due to their actions.
Kinda, I believe they are imported to those countries and are sold by third party vendors and that is legal. However Sony does not sell them in that country off of their store. I believe that is the standard
Would be good if they added the supply lines (just the visuals) but I can imagine that they're building a system that includes them and it's just not done. Giving us a half built system could require time spent on something that won't be what they actually keep in the long run. We know they're pressed for time as it is and I'd rather see them concentrate on the actual final product. If they can develop it in a way that can be gradually upgraded with new features, then that would be the best of both worlds, but that would mean they had to start with these step-wise releases in mind, and simply put that might not be case.
I guess we have to do it again
Sony should know we are capable to do it.đ
My thought on it now is that they won't unrestrict the countries unless there is nothing that can go wrong with giving players linking psn accounts exclusive content that won't ever be available in those countries in the foreseeable future.
đ thanks for the upload bro been folling you since the beginning of helldivers, its like a daily routine for me now haha awsome stuff đ
Lol that last clip with the hug.
"am I gonna have stand here all day?! Gimme a F#$king hug!"
I love this community.
Back in the day, there was a game called infantry that Sony bought and they let it tank cause they made it pay2play. This is what Sony does..
Given how bad the backlash was to Sony, as well as the sheer determination of AHâs team, I sincerely doubt that the removal from countries will last too much longer
I doubt they will unless we band together again. They already removed those 180 regions from Ghost of Tsushima as well, and have been refunding those preorders. So I am willing to bet they will keep those regions off unless we as consumers do something about it.
đThanks for the Helldivers News Hit, That fan created warbond looked awesome
This was the second day I played against the automations with this MO, if we calculate based on the remaining time and our currect rate of progress we're at best gonna reach ~73% completion, this does not take into account more bug-only people trying to actually help, less people staying to help because they think it's pointless, and the end of the weekend, so while it's possible if we get a lot more people on this I currently don't see how we can win, and this isn't even something Joel can balance for us as a lower regen isn't gonna do anything. It also doesn't help that the ideal way to fight bots is to not fight them and just run away. Maybe we can get the counting bug back that we had against the 2 billion bug kills?
đthe new energy main was the one I was looking forward to, thought it would be a stronger plas, I hope they fix it, I want to use it against the bots
I hope everything clear up soonđđ
đ Thank you for all the information!
I hope the devs will update the galactic war map.
I thought about there is a button to see the supply lines.
đ
It's geopolitics I thought that was obvious and not all places can get certain software or intellectual properties.
Also supply linrs and alot of other helpful information be nice it doesnt have to be stunning visually to help imform basic things.
Sony has shown its true colors Helldivers. They took our goodwill and stomped on it after they backed down from the psn linking đđđ
At fist I thought the name of this last warbond was because they were releasing ice/freezing weapons but I was wrong. Is just because the helldivers 2 community is quite "Polar-ized" about the balance patches.đ
đđ limiting recruitment is a very undemocratic thing to do. Dam Sony infiltrators.
And yet number of players is not affected. It only goes down with crappy balancing issues.
@@Ravenbones It hasn't lowered the player count much because these restrictions don't prevent current owners of the game from playing, they just prevent people from buying it.
That warbond concept looks amazing! Hope it will inspire the devs đ
If they don't revert access for those countries, they should be required to refund all accounts...
People who bought the game and didn't refund can still play. they just cant buy it off steam. Too bad if they did refund
Going to have to or lawsuits
Everyone that bought the game isn't being stopped from playing.
Remember. Own nothing, and you will be happy.
đ
Didn't know there was anything about supply lines, if I'm understanding this correctly. I'm so very interested.
đIts avaliable in my region been wanting to get it to jam with friends unfortunately things tight. Love watching your videos regardless champ.
Helldivers went from about 350,000 players to about 150,000
đ just some faint grey lines going between the planets while zoomed in. Thats all we need give us the supply lines
đ I donât believe Sony has any plans on lifting the restrictions on those countries as it could lead people playing other PSN required games to complain why HD2 is allowed.
đ I hope the 180 coutries can dive soon, but I don't have high hopes.
I'm not really sure how we would get the 5 planets. Aren't there other routes still remaining after the 2 captures? đ
It would be great if we can place stratagems by chem launcher like in the division. so it can reach far target.
Servoassisted armors do that already.
Why would they add armor bonuses against the damage types that enemies actually inflict. Electrical damage resistance is OP. You will take ZERO electrical damage from enemies in-game! That and limb health have the game tethering on the edge of unbalanced chaos. đđ
Itâs should come to the game we should get more advanced suits as the game goes on
đ hopefully this gets all resolved soon
At this point, people should just start demanding a refund for this war bond. Can't keep giving money to a company if they are false advertising stuff.
the game should have like guild or some kind of division which can highlights a can pin a planet where their group is targeting which other group/division leaders can see the pin so they can support that planet or choose a different one this feature only works when major order is on groups hope the group names is made like naming of the ships no use your own group
The lines should be in-game. It makes no sense that they're missing!!!
I believe the devs have mentioned it IS to be in the game but haven't gotten that situated yet.
@@TaskMaster5 seems like something that would take less than an hour to do lol
@@social3ngin33rin I'm not a programmer so I wouldn't fathom how quick or long that would take. Nothing is 'easy' in programming, however, that I know.
đThis lack of comunication between Arrowhead and Sony has to stop, the community suffers because of it.
get your tricorn hats bois! its time to sail the high seas again
Love your work buddy đ
Pretty sure that 'strategic plan' from Reddit wouldnt have worked the way its worded. The 5 planets the poster speaks of are already under Automaton control so we would still need to liberate them one by one, no? Further more, i think(?) its possible that the Bots would still be able to assault Aesir Pass and one other (out of frame) - though im not 100% since if supplies lines require a full link to home world to push, then they wouldnt be able to. The the OP's logic, you would only need to liberate Matar Bay, since that would cut off Meissa.
This is just going off the context of the title alone, so if its explained better in the actual post then fair do, but from the title alone, no, we'd still need to liberate the other 5 planets.
đđđđSony is gonna kill this game before I get it grrrr. These corporations are ruining everything about the industry. For democracy and liber-tea Helldivers!!đđđđ
đđđ thanks for the content
Game is currently subtracting super credits when you find them in game. What fun...
That dmg armor concept sounds like it would suck lmao
No more ground given to Sony đ Also bring back the erruptor shrapnel! and the Purifier is a bit pants.
@cloudplay thank for the video
đ what is the point of the region restricting in the first place? is it colliding laws and rules with those countries or just Sony not supporting those regions?
I mean in helldivers were already failing major orders due to lack of people
So... I never did change my review to positive because words are cheap but actions speak louder, and I'm frankly not surprised that Sony are a bunch of liars. Everyone else needs to revert their reviews back to negative and keep pushing for refunds. đđđđ
Lets get these helldivers back on board and ready to fight for democracy! đ
8:25- While I agree that Managed Democracy could definitely use some acid and acid protecting gear, I don't think you can fully fault Arrowhead for not having "thought of it" yet/not adding it to the game/needing to take notes. Yes they should make something like this, don't get me wrong, but trying to call them out for not adding it in yet when it could be in development already for all we know, while also dealing with the thousands of other problems they've been facing, especially thanks to Sony, seems a bit unfair. On that note, fans can come up with awesome ideas like this "easily" bc they aren't running, fixing, and adding new things to the game. Their just playing it and designing something they think would be awesome to have in the game. I say "easily" bc I realize that it still takes a bit of work and skill to make something like that image, but comparing an image to the full development process to implement it into the game is like comparing a kids toothpick bridge to the Golden Gate bridge
I want a salute while flying though the air! đ đ€Ł đ đč
đ well not sure i could use it even i got it, but yeah thats the way of it.
How empty space feels without our siblings in arms.
Sony thinking analytical data is worth more than building a loyalty base is beyond me. I guess that's why I'm here and not there. As far as clarifying system mechanics, I'm all for working blindly. As an Final Fantasy XI player I knew what it was like working in the dark. We were forced to build communities and groups, sharing information, helping struggling players, watching content creators to gleam anything. That left a lasting impression, not to mention a laundry list of friends which means I'd do it again for the experience.
đ enjoy your commentary!
The supply lines is a pretty simple.solition. Arrowhead should do them such asnbe simply turned on and off. When you need thme switch them on đ
đ for all the helldivers we have lost. đ for all the helldivers who are bolstering our numbers đ
I want our community united đ
Adding more countries and/or not lifting the restriction says to me that Sony are going to try something with it again. Otherwise it's just money left on the table right? If there's no need for PSN, then restrictions mean less sales. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know much about international law, but it really seems like they're aiming for something else.
I got my thumb ready
we are in dark time and so we need push foward is the only way đđ
Is Sony blocking their own PSN in those countries? How is Sony the problem?
Does anyone know what is supposed to be the actual reason they banned things in 180 countries? Bc that's the one thing I haven't heard is what the actual reason it's being made unavailable to them.
đ Hope then can get themselves sorted and just let the game be good and fun for all
We really need new passive for the suit to be honest. đ really good fanart from the community . đŻ
I appreciate you trying to keep the mood light when talking about the game. Iâll be honest I was noticing it as well, but I donât blame you with all the drama coming from this game lately. Thank you for being such a reliable source and positive person đđ
The supply lines would be so usefull for spreading democracy more efficientlyđ
đđđ Arrow head needs to hire that person XD đđđ

đ I would love some supply lines
Any 1 got any ideas when the illuminate are coming?
I personally think that the new warbond issue is a little bit of our fault. Arrowhead would probably fiddle with it a little but we just didnât give them the time. They were worried about releasing it so asked if they should hold on to it a little but we disagreed. I donât think the arrowhead should be blamed entirely for thisâŠ
No, no, no..... this was the CEO asking if it's a bit tone deaf/to soon for them to ask about a paid offering due to what happened recently... nothing more than that, the balance team isn't doing a good job and that's been the case since the first month.,.. even the CEO isn't too impressed.
