    Just got the surgery done yesterday. the only pain was getting the ring on the eye. And it wasn’t even really pain just pressure. The cutting and the laser you don’t feel at all. Just go home and nap for four hours after and you’ll have zero pain. It’s been 24 hours and I’m already seeing at almost 20/20. Greatest decision of my life

      Happened to me during stitching of the retina, he said "oops, it's cut" to this day I don't know what happened and the panic I felt was over the roof, it was all good after the surgery.

    I had this done about 15 years ago. My eyesight is still good as of right now. I can read and drive at night without glasses. Animation make it look scary but whole process was painless and very quick.

      @@madhavagal800 yeah. My eyes were more sensitive to light after lasik but that lasted for first 6-8 months. Sunglasses would help a lot

      @@Scramify I've never had any complications from the procedure. The only thing they warn me about is not to rub my eyes really strongly like you might do if your tried, for at least a month. The flap they cut heals completely, but if you're too aggressive with rubbing your eyes until you've fully healed you can tear the flap open.

    Had this surgery 15 years ago. Waking up the next morning and seeing the ceiling fan in my bedroom crystal clear was a life changing moment. So glad I had the surgery. It sounds scarier than it is. Was done in 15 minutes.

    I had Lasik eye laser surgery today!!! It's been approximately 8 hours since the procedure took place and I can totally see!!! It's mind-blowing really!!! Guys, let me tell you, the video is as accurate as it is misleading because it makes the entire procedure look painful but it's faaar from it. You don't feel any pain AT ALL. You might feel uncomfortable because of that thing the doctor puts in your eyelids in order to not blink, but there's no pain. I repeat, there's no pain. Zero. Nada. The results are insane, it's soooo worth it....

      Falling asleep with contacts in drys them out. When you wake up it feels like you have hard plastic in your eyes. It hurts so bad. Then getting them out without ripping them while dry is a nightmare.

    Hey guys! Most practices DO NOT use a blade anymore. Everything is done with a laser, so nothing goes near your eye! You can only see some blinking lights during the procedure :)

    I did the Lasik three days ago (it's in 2019). The surgery took as seemed to me about 2 minutes, although the waiting and the preparetions seemed to take forever. The same day after the surgery I was gazing through all my windows like a baby, the image is so clear now, and I felt really stupid that I didn't do this like 10 years ago just because I was afraid :(

      Mmmmm yes let's just peel the cornea and vaporize some of it off. It still scares me and I can barely keep my eyes open at all and even fail at putting on eye drops as a fear that the bottle no matter how hard I hold it will fall on my eye. But I gotta practice until I can just grab my eye lids.

    I wore glasses most of my life and I just had my surgery yesterday. My eyes were numbed so I couldn’t feel anything besides the pressure from the ring... Honestly, it was more painful to watch it than feel any physical pain, but you’ll come around that. The first few hours after the surgery were painful, I couldn’t open my eyes, but after I took a nap and follow up with the aftercare, I now can see perfectly. And NO MORE GLASSES!!!

      If you see this please read this because I also want to do the same thing.
      Well, basically I just wonder. During the procedure were you able to move your eyes around? Like look at the doctors face or something? And IF you were able to, umm, what would happen if you haved moved your eye balls to look at something else (maybe out of reflex) meanwhile the machine was cutting or something?
      Another question: Since it's been 5 months, have you encountered any side effects? Or has your eye sight worsened again? Is it 20/20 right now?
      + Another question. How do I pick a good clinic for this procedure? I want to have a nice and proffesionally understanding doctor and not one of these "SHUT Up AND LAY BACK" doctors....

      @@thekingofearth453 I’m happy to share my experience with you. They use a piece of equipment to keep you from blinking. So you’re eye would be wide open and you can’t blink even when you want to. I was able to move my eyeball around but they ask you to look straight into a light while they shave your eyeball. Then they proceed with the laser. The procedure was easy and fast. Just breathe and relax and it’ll be over before you know it. Oh and it didn’t hurt all that much at all.
      I did mine with LASIK plus located in Utah. And now I have a vision even better than 20/20 according to the doctors. It was worth it for me and I hope you come to a decision that makes you happy. After all your vision determines most of you life quality.

    I had this done after many years of dithering. I am short sighted.
    Carried out to one eye only and I can see better than 20/20.
    I experienced quite intense pain for half a day which is unusual and after that, the pain went away and was just sore. My vision stabilised within 2 to 3 weeks.
    I don't wear glasses and I should have done it many years ago.
    My only problems are depth perception is a little off. I play tennis and soccer, so it's not much of a problem. I now can swim and kite surf no glasses seeing everything.
    At AUS$1500, it was a bargain.

      All it was was pressure on the eyeball pushing down, didnt feel any pain from the cut, just pressure.. then thelight show started... and it took less than 10 mins.

    I got the surgery done 2 days ago and finally, after 13 years, I won't wear glasses anymore. I can't believe that after my -7 vision I can see everything clear now. I am so happy! ❤

      I’m happy for you! I cant imagine the relief you felt lol, but before you got the surgery did your eyes get worse every year? Or did they get better each year? Because I got glasses a few years ago and my eyes continue to get worse!

      At first my eye doctor was a very bad doctor, she said that everything is ok with my vision and glasses aren't needed. I didn't wear glasses for 1 year and that caused my vision to get even worse than before. When I started wearing glasses, my vision was already -3. But then I found a doctor who helped me and even my vision got -7, my eyes were in a very good condition. I am very thankful to her that my vision didn't get lower than that.
      So you need to find a good doctor. I wish you good luck and don't be afraid, everything will be fine. 😊

      My eyes are also going baddd power= -6.75
      I'm 16 yrs old nowmy doctor said that LASIK causes dryness in eyes forever so I'm in confusion to take decision.

      @@vulnikkura From what I've heard it's relatively painless during the surgery, but depending on what type of surgery you get you might experience pain/discomfort post-operation.
      I'm not a doctor and I haven't gotten LASIK (i plan to) but I really doubt it hurts, especially since they numb your eye to the point where you can barely see and can't move it, so that the procedure goes flawlessly. I kinda get why people are scared of it but they have to realize that modern science is so incredibly advanced we can cut into our own eyes and fix them without feeling even a bit of pain.

    My brother recently got lasik, i had to drive him there and back home... he told me it was nothing to it, the eye drops they give numb your eye so you can't feel a thing. we were there for about 3 or 4 hours maybe? the procedure takes about 3 mins per eye, but the doctor wants to check your eye to make sure it's healing, so you're mostly sitting in the waiting room.

      "Eating carrots will improve your eyesight" was a myth propogated by the British Air Force to hide the fact that they had RADAR in their aircraft. You might wanna tell your parents that.

      Carrots have beta-carotene and our bodies change it to vitamin A, which it's really useful for the eyes, they are not joking.

      @@goat504 Eating a bunch of carrots is not going to magically improve your vision. Your body gets its Vitamin A from other sources such as milk, eggs, cereal, greens etc anyway. Vitamin A helps with the retina/night blindness which has nothing to do with glasses. Besides, that doesn't change the fact that it was a myth by the RAF. Read up on it.

    Even my sister and brothers had their lasik done and they are perfectly fine. They said that they didn’t feel anything during the procedure and it was really smooth. The procedure is expensive but its worth it.

    It was the best thing I ever bought for myself. I can't recommend it enough. It was so freeing to be able to roll over and read the alarm clock without squinting. I do still occasionally get "artifacts" from having worn glasses and contacts for decades and suddenly not needing them, like I'll freak out for a second because I'll reach over and can't find my glasses... old habits die hard. Lasik changed my life.
    For the surgery itself, it was "look at the blinking lights (15-20 seconds elapses). Ok now don't freak out because you're going to go blind for about 15 seconds." Then I had perfect vision.

    I did 3 days ago. I really don’t recommend watching videos before your surgery. I watched none (just searching now that it’s done and got curious).
    It took 3 minutes ish each eye and the feeling of not wearing contact lenses or glasses are precious.
    I truly recommend. Go for it!!!! It’s fast and priceless.

    Had this done about 10 years ago right around when this video came out actually... and still to this day I am 20/15 and can read the bottom line... the prep took longer then the surgery itself. Both eyes took maybe 5 mins and you dont feel anything, you’re numb and your eyes are full of cream so everything is blurry... went home took a nap woke up thought I had contact lenses still in it was that clear. Best investment EVER!! Please for all of you that are scared dont be
