WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

Zizi kirana said this is Hiphop Nusantara.... with Seruling sound and Sinden sundanese.... the gamelan.... and outfit costume is Kanjeng nyai Ratu kidul from javanese legend....
This song is sarcastic and the music arrangement is sarcastic too.. If you notice there is a change of arrangement when reaching the end of the song.. Suddenly the music became cheerful but the words are telling people to talk bad about other people like 'come let's talk bad about that person'.. So yeah in my opinion, when the music combines with the lyrics it really sounds so sarcastic.. And that's why she won the best performance ❤️
this song is actually about gossip mongers or we malaysians call makcik bawang 😁, bashers and naysayers. The kind of people who always have bad things to say about others and stick their nose into other people's business. The original arrangement is a bit different but this one is good too. Believe it or not, all 3 hip hop songs in AJL this year are off hip hop + Malay style ❤ Btw she won Best Performance with this 😊

Actually this is a mix & cross over beetween Indonesian traditional music ( Sundanese & Javanese) with rentak ( beat) Melayu with a touch of Dangdut & pop musics.
Maybe the singer could make a collab with Affy Rev , Eka Gustiwana or Wierd Genius. So the music composed & arrangement will be more sophisticated.

- That's seruling = Sundanese flute (from west Java,Indonesia)
- The first verse she sings Sinden, Sinden is a traditional way of singing from Java.
- The dress she uses is inspired by Nyai Loro Kidul is an Indonesian Goddess of the sea. She is the Queen of the Southern Sea (Indian Ocean) in Sundanese and Javanese mythology.
