+Andy Jones Those premade salads are fucking expensive. At my local store, they're about £4 each. The biggest crime is the fact that at no point did they consider just chopping some vegetables themselves. They would literally be paying 60-75% less, and even the most inept person can chop some veggies and throw them in a bowl.

I was living off $25.00 a week when I worked a job that only gave me 12-16 hours (mostly 12) AFTER telling me I'd work minimum 16 hours a week. Did I eat well...no...but I ate lots of beans, eggs, and many tears.
My wife and I have a better system. We cook big pots of either curries, casseroles or stews at the weekend. We do it together and we are finished in 1 to 2 hours. Keep in fridge, will last for 5 days. Just take cold pot out of fridge spoon out what you want to heat and eat...then put pot back in fridge. Been doing this for 27 years.
+Dukie Blade actually if eaten with in a few days after preparation or promptly frozen the nutritional value loss is marginal. This is especially true if compared to eating unhealthy food.

warpatato frozen peas are usually better than fresh peas as frozen peas are picked during season so they have a greater depth of flavor

High carb meals? You must be blind if the only thing you saw in those meals were just carbs. Every meal I see in this video has a good ratio of carbs, proteins, and fats. I am in fact going to try most of these meals since the meals I'm eating daily are getting a bit stale. That steak sandwich, chicken stir fry, and omelette looks really good.

The time it takes to take the ingredients out of the fridge or pantry, defrost some of the them, prep, cook and plate is definitely not 8-12 mins. Then you have to wash potentially many dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. Restaurants that already have mise en place still take that long to cook. Just imagine regular people who are tired from work.

I don't doubt most of them. For one, stir fry is incredibly fast to cook, a little bit of prep work ahead of time would make it go by a lot faster. There are a lot of great meals to cook in even less time.
