- Meteorologist Tyler Eliasen says Hurricane Ian, a Category 3 storm at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, should make landfall along Florida's Gulf Coast sometime Wednesday evening. The storm will likely intensify before making landfall.

Wind Turbines automatically shut down when the turbines spin too fast. It's a safety feature, I saw some of these get hit by a tornado almost head-on. Surprisingly durable.
They are usually stopped & stabilized during high wind events. No matter how strong the winds are, the blades will not spin out of control. "Above 55 mph the turbine shuts off. “
