Formula 1 and Indy car are similar but different .. comparing apples to oranges. Definitely pros and cons to both ... to each their own. awsome race in the end, we all can argeee to that.

Ok but that F1 race is Monaco the literal worst track for overtaking since it’s a narrow street circuit and the cars got too big to pass.
Comparing the Indy 500 to Monaco is wild. Monaco f1 racers can’t pass due to car size and track size. The Indy 500 is a huge track with a circular track not a street circuit lol. But a great interview and a fantastic driver. Hats off to the back to back

True but it doesn't change the fact that Monaco was a very boring race and Indy was electric.
It’s a long track, not a wide track. It’s actually not that easy to pass.
Monaco has always been a suckfest to watch.
@@187rando ah yes because every single F1 circuit is a street course that's only on the calendar due to it being a historical track. Literally it doesn't even meet current regulations for multiple reasons. Just say you don't know anything other than American racing and move on.
F1 takes way more skill than indy.. Monoco is there for tradition so they are not comparable.

@@Domenicxx Scott Dixon would wipe the floor in F1. F1 drivers aren't all they're hyped up to be these days. It isn't the 80's and 90's anymore.
I bet the top guys could hang in F1. If you give Pato or Palou a good seat, they could consistently podium. Dixon would've been the prime candidate but too old now. Newgarden is too oval dominant. Grosjean and Ericsson were bad in bad cars in F1 mostly before coming to Indy, with Grosjean getting one podium with a mid-field Lotus team. Now they're here and neither are lighting the world on fire in more equal machinery. Pato and Palou could probably do better.
F1 you have to be adaptable in Indycar they have been driving The same car for 12 years plus f1 drivers have more pressure

@@lucianomorano3394 your argument is that the cars that are only fast on straightaways, and most the races are on ovals, takes more skill than ‘the pinnacle of Motorsport’? Both f1 and Indy has been to circuit of the americas and f1 lap times were 10-15 seconds faster.
@@georgallasj so what man? an f1 car from 2011 was over 5 seconds a lap faster than it is today. and who cares. f1 spends billions for those cars. indy spends next to nothing and are almost as fast. but in indy its actually the driver that makes a difference. not his car like f1. whats the point of f1 if I know whos most likely to always win because they have the best car. In indy you never know cause it all depends on the drivers level. also indy goes to more race tracks than ovals. also most f1 drivers wouldnt even qualify for the indy 500. thats how hard and different it is too regular racing. you sound as ignorant as someone who watched 3h of the monaco gp to not see 1 pass in the top 5. when you could've watched 3h of overtakes and people sending it at over 200mph. 18 different leaders bro. one of the greatest races in recent history. better than anything ive ever see in f1. and ive watched f1 since 07. less since merc dominated everything

pat you dont know enough about racing, both Monaco and indy 500 are 2/3 races in the triple crown of racing, but like both series there are plenty of races, indy 500 you'll have more passes, Monaco is more surgical and based on single lap performance
I agree, however, imo f1 cars are just too big for Monaco. The cars look clumsy everywhere except the swimming pool
@@thebrickwall6051 yeah there cars are larger than the old days, but its still fun to watch them thread the needle and have to lay down the fastest laps to line up on Sunday, its only one race of the season and is unique for that, I dont think its boring esp this year with those crashes, but of course Max is gonna complain, bc he had a crappy quali, also the Red Bull cars dont seem good on street tracks ever anyway, remember Singapore last year haha,
@@thebrickwall6051 also the disciplines of Monaco and Indy 500 are so different, that is why they make 2/3 of the crown with Lemans24 being the third, IF ONLY Alonso didn't have a blown engine at the 500! I really hope Alonso gets the crown, its nearly impossible to achieve
@Nyx_88888 Once the red flag came out, the race was effectively over in Monaco. There's no reason that Medium tires should last 77 laps. There was also only 4 passes all race.
Even Max said Monaco was boring this year. They should add sprinklers to change things up.
