I purchased the 2.0 one last week and it’s harder than it looks in the video. That round clear protection thing doesn’t stay on the base like it does in the video. It slides all the way off and nothing to stop it from falling off. No lock. I even scraped my finger a few times. I only got it to make sweet potato fries but I had a hard time. The regular slice which is round come out great. The lengthy thin fries are extremely thin and doesn’t look right as fries. The waffle fries I tried making didn’t come out all that great. They came out in half pieces. It was my first time using it yesterday so I’ll try using it again and see.
I doubt you'll ever see this, but here goes. You are using it wrong. The round thing as you call it has a grey edge (in this video) and that slides into the slot on the side of the red thing, so it can't fall off the end. I would suggest yours is not correctly asembled, and will never work well.
