If you do not prefer external service. You can purchase GSM model, put your GSM SIM into it, and plug it in an computer and make this computer an SMS server. Then use PHP script to submit message via POST or GET to your SMS server for sending to telecommunication network. Your SMS Server must also be setup to receive messages over HTTP/API.
