Fun Fact: Jason Statham was originally scripted for this film. But when they couldn't get him, we got Luke Evans as Owen Shaw. But they did get him for the mid credits scene.
Probably for the best. Although I wish they had him more during the 7th movie than just reappearing from time to time.

Fun Fact: at 23:46, when Brian is apologizing to Letty for putting her in undercover, that is the first time in the series where Letty and Brian directly speak to one another. They never talked to each other in the first or fourth films.

Actually it was the first time they spoke onscreen, remember Brian was the one who put Letty undercover after she asked him so to clear Dom's record, so technically they did speak but offscreen
I remember watching the movie for the first time in theatres, and when it got to the part where Brian and Letty talk briefly, even I was like: "Wait... have they ever interacted on screen before, in these movies?"... Low and behold, 6 movies in, that was their first on-screen interaction together. LOL.
Fun Fact: 30:13 this comedy scene was off script u can see Roman apologising after he made that joke and hobbs came up with a good comeback at the spot and yea tej's reaction is real

The line was in the script. Ludacris' spit take was spontaneous, but they kept it in the final cut.

@@Scoundr3ll Dwayne does like Tyrese and the beef started after fast 7 because Tyrese didn't like how the wind got his own spin off when he was just introduced two movies before part 7 . Tyrese said that baby oil line because he knew wrestlers put baby oil on when they wrestle and of course Dwayne hit it with the big ass forehead line

The whole recap montage in the beginning was like "Remember these Fast and Furious movies? Forget about them. Shit is about to be different from now on".

The Runway isn't actually long. Someone did a compliation of putting together all the different scenes of where each character is during that sequence at the same time and all together that entire plane sequence is basically like 5 to 7 minutes long and not 15 or 20 like we see in the films running time lol. Its pretty cool to look up.
7 minutes is a looong time to lift off..Havent you ever flown?

So it’s still very long.
Also what would hooks have to do with it? It’s still moving forward.

@@HeatKingMedia But the point is that the runway is long as hell. Being unable to take off doesn’t have anything to do with it being an absurdly long runway. Because they’re still moving at 60+mph.
The point isn’t that the Plane took too long to start flying. It’s that the runway would have to be massive to accommodate that fact.
Why would them being hooked somehow change that?
Brians's prison fight is my favorite fight in the entire franchise. The way Brian fights using his surroundings, joint locks, etc. It's so clean.
"Who talks to each other like that?" Two actors known for not liking having to work with each other lol. They seem like two ex-spouses doing their best to try to look like they get along for the sake of the kids.
I love the furious 6 soundtrack as well.
The soundtrack in this one is amaizing

Clara Paget (Anne Bonny | Black Sails) is part of Shaw's crew. completely forgot about that.
also the final scene between the rock and vin diesel is so fucking hilarious. the way the scene is shot and the forced perspective makes me laugh every time. almost as if they were filmed separately.
I forgot as well and she was excellent in Black Sails. I had to look up what else she was is in and there isnt much to my surprise considering how good she was as Anne Bonney.
For the reactors who love Dom & Letty and just the franchise, y’all should watch the Vin Diesel directed Fast & Furious short film Los Bandoleros (2009) that is a prelude to Fast and Furious (2009). It introduces Tego Calderon and Don Omar and introduces Han into the gang while in the Dominican Republic as they plan for the oil truck heist. I believe they also briefly refer to the events in Los Bandoleros in later movies.

There was also a film called Los Bandoleros that shows how Dom and Han connected. It’s placed right after fast 1. So while Brian went to Miami and ride with Roman, Han and Dom met in Mexico and started doing things in South America

In case there was confusion about the trajectory of the necklace ending up with Statham at the end, pretty sure its last known owner was with Luke Evans (calling by the actor for clarity), he just got it off his brother once he found out what happened, I guess, and Evans must have been aware of the symbolism somewhat thanks to Letty.

It was from this sixth film that I met Luke Evans and the character Owen Shaw who in my opinion is a very well written villain, very well structured but unfortunately the character was little used in the following sequels !

FYI: Hobbs & Shaw takes place after Fate of the Furious. Can't wait for y'all to watch Furious 7 (I legit cried in theaters)!

Looking back, I now realize that movies 4 - 6 had something to offer (even the 7th film to some extent) that the newer films just don't anymore.
The 4th film was about nostalgia in reuniting the OG characters after two sequels that almost didn't connect to the 1st film and resurrecting the franchise. The 5th film brought in the heist genre and uniting a lot of the supporting characters into one film (before Avengers even did it). In the 6th film, it was about concluding the long overarching story-arcs that started in the previous films (even all the way back in the 1st film) and having the team face off against a rival crew that is similar to them. Plus, it really did feel like a finale to the series.
And as for the 7th film, it was more of an emotional sendoff for Paul Walker, which gives it some big points.
The best I can get out of the 8th film is that it put Dom against his own crew, but that only tells us that he was being blackmailed, so the stakes were near to non-existent. And the 9th film brought in the Tokyo Drift crew and resurrecting Han. But the problem with both those films and even the 7th is that they were repeating the same tropes and story-arcs from the previous films.
Yes you should definitely watch Hobbs and Shaw. Also Crank is so a great movie i love it.
I saw CinemaSins complain that there was no way Brian would be able to tell where the jammer hit his car but actually he let it hit his bumper on purpose, if you remember in 2 fast 2 furious his car was disabled by something similar so he figured it was made to do the same so he found a way to get it off

The ACTUAL most unbelievable thing in this whole franchise is how chill all the girlfriends and wives are with letting their men just go off on another world saving adventure without them.
Well in this particular movie it was about family for Dom and the crew..what would it say about Mia if she was being a hardcase about her guy helping to save her friend letty who she has know since high school and is considered family before this current family got together after the first 2 FF movies.

ive always been kinda confused and just accepted , but i jus tracked the necklace journey while watching this reaction, so dom gave it to letty after the race, then letty gave it to shaw(owen) when he asked her if she shoot dom or not, and then he died so his brother is supposedly collected it from owen's dead body and han was unfortunately the first team member deckard tracked and left it on han's body so dom would connect the dots to owen.
movies are ridiculous, but its there universe, where tech is so much far better and all... but story goes along is sooo good you gotta admit it!
