I have this watch. I love military watches and I practice outdoor sports, so this is the perfect choice. I bought it many years ago and it's still one of my favourites in my collection.
I’ve worn a Suunto Core for 12 years and I’m currently wearing the Suunto Core Black Red edition. I have a proprietary strap that is rubber with PVD coated buckle, they call it the Diver strap but for me it’s the most comfortable strap they make
I wear a Garmin now, but i wore a Suunto Core all Black literally every day - even slept and showered in it most of the time - for 8 years. Never skipped a beat. Just changed the battery once a year and chugged on.
Awesome review! Thank You! I can see why those in military would prefer it - no gimmicks, gives you all the essentials you could want but none of the useless info to clatter or waste one's time with.
Nice honesty mate, Ive bought and sold so many cool watches just to pay bills or buy food its crazy! I actually tried to buy one of these for a steal price on ebay and the buggers sent a dofferent model so i ended up selling it for a profit and never got the core all black ( I hate the way a new band is as much as a whole cheaper warch! The same with the big g shocks!

man its ok watch, but nothing beats casio protrek prg 270 solar for things you mentioned in yout title. in 8 years no visible mark, had been with me in all travels, work, doing basically from grass cutting to house construction. and I wear it in any occasion in any clothing in any weather conditions and it still looks sharp and dope. it is best of two worlds protrek and gshock. it is a good looking tank durable watch with normal size. thank me later
the problem is it has a much smaller time area if they made the area much larger would
be awesome as most buyers of the suunto like the huge display and look.

I really like mine, but the altimeter doesn't feel acurate, and the compass needs a lot of recalibrating if you don't wear it often. Having said that, for the price, it's an absolute steal, and I know it will take a beating. Also, if you're not into rechargable battery watches (because you might be away for a while and don't want it to die), this is a great alternative.
It’s a good enough watch only problem. Is it hard to read to face sometimes I don’t know why it has been so dark/sub
It is tricky in some lights for sure. I do appreciate that they have the option to be able to change the contrast though
Mine is so old, it doesnt have adaptor for extra strap option adaptor :(
I've seen some of these that have been through the mill and are still ticking. Very under rated wrist watch
@@MoorlanderEDC mine still with me, got it from a friend, he got it in 2012 or smth, gone through 5 bands. I use it for about 3 yesrs, 3 batteries so far. First too lasted abou a year, last onecabout 7months, now got a new one
I swim all that with that watch but I hear a creak pressing some buttons , that’s normal ? Any straps option have somebody ?
There's some really nice two piece options out there. Even some fair priced ones on Amazon. If you're going to get something really nice, I'd always suggest Hawkrigger Watch Straps

Which do you prefer, this or the Instinct?
Oh man... You had do go there. If there was a gun againstly my head if choose the Instinct as it has solar and more features. They're both incredibly good watches though

However, personally, I don't trust tech stuff. If I had this watch, I can foresee it being thrown across the room at the refrigerator!💨⌚💥🎆
The last few tech stuff I've had met with very fatal ends. Failing to withstand the Angry Ranger's low tolerance with tech, attitude, stuff that frustrate me are launched at full power across the room, right at the fridge! 😠

I think I prefer the aesthetics of the Mudmasters over the Range master... Although if Casio sent me either of them to test I'd be over the moon 😂

I think with the battery only lasting around 18 months, adding a step tracker to that would cripple the battery. I think Suunto have the technology in their other watches to be able to stream line the tech inside to make it happen though. If they made a Suunto Core II with step tracking with a super reliable battery that needed recharging but still lasted 6 months, I'd be at the front of the queue to buy one for sure

I must look at 3-axis accelerometer sizes and drive myself ecen mote frustrated!
Would love a standalone watch with no Bluetooth (nor GPS) that has every ABC function possible

Garbage watch. I prefer my g shock than this. Been having it for 2 years and for some reason ,it has gotten dust and dirt under the glass. On top of that,I’ve had to replace the straps twice already
The strap definitely is one of the weak points of this watch. A lot of owners swap it out for a nato/G10 style strap
This is not a g-shock bro , but stand up good , something you do was to open it and you don’t close correctly back ! I had my gwg1000 , first day at pool died because the crown was as broken inside of movement .
I use my watch daily , I wash my watch with diesel and doesn’t have a problem . You do something wrong with your . Btw about strap , you can find on temu cheaper , or you can buy nato strap as like suunto alpha stealth have .

I foolishly bought one of these crap suunto watches...biggest mistake was, I though I was getting the watch used in the movie the equalizer... but it's NOT...!!!!
Yeah, I think a few people have been fooled by the Equalizer film. The watch in that film was a knock off imitation
