hey friends, to clarify I use Vaseline at night-time and I think it’s the best time to use it. I would suggest people do the same because I know most people don’t want to be walking around looking like a glazed doughnut all day lol & also never mix this with Vaseline with sunscreen please. 🥰

I can attest to this! Whenever I have eczema or a psoriasis flare up, I'll use vaseline nightly as my last step in my skin care routine until it heals. After I cleanse, I apply a good lotion(sometimes I'll add a serum too) to my damp face and then seal it with vaseline. I just want to note that you need to make sure that your skin is actually clean...if it's not, you could end up with a breakout. Vaseline traps everything in, so you want a clean face! The next morning, I wash/cleanse it off.

I’ve damaged my skincare barrier before and it was the worst thing ever. My skin was tight and whenever I used moisturiser it literally disappeared into the atmosphere since my skin barrier was damaged and couldn’t hold on to the moisture. I used hyaluronic acid, moisturised and as a last step I would use an ointment for eczema to seal everything. I’m glad you discovered this and it worked for you because that’s literally how I healed my skin as well.

One day I decided to try vaseline after reading a post on reddit. this may sound disgusting and tmi but the pimple became so soft and the pus was literally coming out and it could be wiped away. I think the vaseline created a healing and moist environment which really helped the process. Its a must try.

So I have light brown skin that easily scars. I will get cystic acne every other week and my pores, along with deep scars, just made my skin look like ultimate shit.
This Wednesday, I started oil cleansing at night and day with a mix of grape seed oil AND hemp seed oil. I wipe it off, I don’t double cleanse.
Then, I found a retinal cream on amazon. It’s a white bottle that’s like $19 and it’s like the first result. I put it right after I finish cleansing, let it sink into my skin a bit and I top it off with a little small amount of the hemp seed oil on top.
That’s it. Only 2 products are on my face at night.
Today is Saturday right? My skin is SO NICE. My chin was covered in acne and it’s gone. I had this big hard pimple on my cheek for 3 weeks-gone.
My pores are so much smaller. My skin is NO LONGER oily at all. My scars (I have ice pick scars/box scars) look so much softer and less pronounced
If anyone wants to @ me for more details, GO AHEAD.
I have been suffering with shit skin since I was 13 and I’m SO HAPPY I just discovered this process 😭😭😭

We need more videos like this. Ive just realised my whole problem with worsening acne is mostly likely a damaged moisture barrier, especially because it is only happening in the same areas as ive always focussed drying acne treatments. I tried everything to get rid of pimples (AHA, BHA, BP and was baout to by differin) and suddenly i was experiencing the worst break outs ive ever had before. Constant pimples on the same cheek and forehead. t wasnt until i looked at the past few years of my life realising that i used to barely drink water for years and drank alot of pepsi max, and now even when drinking 2-3L of water i was then using harsh drying acne treatments which were making the skin worse.
Im starting to heal the barrier now with a thick ceramide cream and just used vaseline over the top for the first time last night. Skin looked so much more calm and healed this morning. Its going to be a long journey to repair probably years of dehydration to my skin but it will be worth it!! If youre suffering from reoccurring acne, look into your hydration!

I go through phases where my skin is great because I am cleansing properly, moisturizing properly, and only using acne products sparingly as needed. Then I get in the mood to amp up the exfoliation or overuse a serum... Inevitably this leads to breakouts, congestion, angry and flaky skin, and so I want to use MORE acne products and therefore need MORE moisturizers and have to wear MORE makeup, which only leads to MORE problems.
It's so easy to get carried away. This video inspired me to go back to basics again; every time I do, my skin thanks me. Double wash with a moisturizing cleanser, mild moisturizer on damp skin, cream where I need it, add a little water to the skin, then seal with Vaseline.

I think you should do a morning and night skin care routine because in your past videos you mentioned a lot of different products and I’m still not quite sure exactly what order you use them in. For example when do you actually apply the Vaseline before or after moisturiser.

Vaseline or any other healing ointment should be applied after the moisturizer to seal in the moisture. Cleanse, serum (optional), oils (optional), and facial creams/moistrurizer, and then vaseline.

This is exactly what I did. I had great skin until a stressful time when I was 29. I broke out. I freaked out. I over scrubbed. Over exfoliated. Used witch hazel after that. Then I didn’t put on moisturizer until my skin was dry & felt tight & itchy.
That began a cycle that kept me w acne! 10 years before I started getting back to normal!
What my skin loves is applying the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum to wet skin & my lotion right on top. That change alone started me in the right direction. I started getting bad eczema then too!
I also figured out that my acne is from internal issues & never w my skin.
Differin isn’t a spot treatment tho. It’s a retinoid. So it helps w wrinkles too.. & I love it! It’s great if tretinoin is too much for you.
