A wonderful man and singer, love this song, " No Man Stands Alone, all his gospels are beautiful,
+Ethel Lewis Glad you enjoyed the video. Forrest, Phil, Jimmy and I were part of his original Dream Lovers Band. We were with him during the 70's when he was doing hit after hit. It was a great decade.

My dad was in army with Billy's brother Chauncey in 1944
I once read they were trying to promote him the be the "next Elvis Presley." As good looking as both are, only one Elvis and one Crash Craddock
I saw Billy twice great singer.
What an incredible talent.
When this singer came to Australia many years ago he swept the nation by storm he would have been about 22 or 23 years of age, so very very young .He sang a song called Boom Boom Baby and if you closed your eyes, you would swear it was Elvis singing . He appeared on Television wearing a light coloured sweater or jumper as we call them here and dark pants . He was a very good looking young man and I remember my mother and all the females in the country going nuts over him .
I remember thinking Good Lord we cant have two Elvis's , because I tell you what , he sure gave Elvis a run for his money , Crash Craddock was that good . Then he suddenly disappeared and people were saying he was killed in a car accident . My poor mother had convinced herself he was murdered to make way for the original....... Elvis Presley . This is a true story , when I think about it now and see that Billy Crash Craddock is alive and well all these years later I am so relieved . I was actually shocked when we found him on CZcams. My dear mother died before we found out Crash was alive and well . Heaven only knows how the rumor even began , But honestly we all began to think he had been bumped off to make way for Elvis because Crash was too much competition for him . Just thought I would share that with all the fans .
What an interesting story. I didn't know of him then. He morphed into country, and I was an original Dream Lover in his rockabilly/country band. He's alive and well in Greensboro, NC. Still does a few shows a year. czcams.com/video/UvFSkVa3H5Q/video.html
Billy Crash Craddock became a big C&W star in the U. S . from 1970 on. Oz radio rarely aired those tunes which also didn't cross over to the U.S. pop charts. There is a Wikipedia entry which gives plenty of info on Crash.
I have been listening to Billy Crash Craddock for yrs ...he’s my favorite...but try get a CD of him
My husband and I tried to get one 😢but most record sales people say they have never heard of him 😢what a shame 😢
