- In this video, I have explained my riding experience from Kalimpong to Darjeeling with my Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn via Peshok Road i.e Via Chitrey, Teesta Bazar, Teesta View Point ( Lovers Meet View Point), Lopchu Bazar, Lamahatta (9th Mile), 6th Mile, 3rd Mile.
After starting from Kalimpong, I reached Chitrey where Kalimpong Bypass connects with NH 10. This place is also known as Kalimpong Gangtok Junction point.
Then I took NH 10 to reach Teesta Bazar which is the connecting point of NH 10 and Peshok Road. Here I took the Peshok Road for Darjeeling.
After taking the Peshok Road, I described the condition of this road in the river bed areas. From Teesta Bazar to Lamahatta, the road is very steep and full of Hairpin Bends, Zigzags, Curves and Loops. I elaborately explained the road. Then I move forward and one by one come across Lovers Meet View Point, Lopchu Bazar, Lamahatta etc. The major Junction Points are also shown.
Then finally I reached Jorebungalow where 3 roads get converged. One towards Siliguri via Kurseong, One towards Darjeeling and another one towards Tiger Hill. Then I reached Ghoom Railway station where the road towards Lepchajagat, Pashupati Fatak, Simana, Mirik is seperated. I ended the video at Ghoom Railway Station.

But missed the up-hill Dawaipani road on the right hand side after lamahatta & takdah tes estate road for your viewers .... 😮 though you have shown it previously on your other vlog while going from Darjeeling to Kalimpong 😊
Moreover after crossing Jorebunglow if you move slightly ahead then there is another up-hill u-turn road leading straight towards Darjeeling Town & directly to mall( through Army Cant. area,D.B Giri Road,Raj Bhavan...heading straight towards Ramada Hotel & Keventers.....cover this route/road for viewers also....hope viewers will like it)

দাদা,তোমার ভিডিও গুলো দারুন লাগে,বলার কায়দা টা এতো ভালো যে রাস্তা চিনতে অসুবিধে হয় না। আন্য কারো ভিডিওতে এটা পাওয়া যায় না,আধো আধো বোঝা,যায়।ক্লিয়ার বেঝা যায় না। আমি নিজে জলপাইগুড়ি থেকে প্রথম বার মিরিক,মিরিক থেকে দার্জিলিং হয়ে কার্শিয়ং রোহিনি হয়ে জলপাইগুড়ি খুব সহজে আসতে পেরেছি। কিন্তু পাংখাবাড়ি,লামাহাটা রাস্তায় যাওয়ার সাহস পাচ্ছি না,কারন আমার নতুন হাত।

You are right in a way, Anirban. Darjeeling is more scenic and idyllic compare to Kalimpong which is more akin to the humdrums of daily life of commerce and politics! Considering the excellent location of the Darjeeling ridge, the British developed the place to escape from the blistering heat of the plains. Kalimpong is more to do with trades for its proximity to Nathula and Jelep La passes. And this proximity also turned Kalimpong into a haven of spies, rather nest of spies of different nationalities during the early days of Indian Independence! Lot of foreign scholors, artists, adventurists and missionaries gathered in Kalimpong during 40s and 50s to explore Tibet and thus making the place interesting and mystical! Kalimpong has its own share of golden days as a economical and cultural powerhouse in mid 20th century!
Both Darjeeling and Kalimpong are charming and enigmatic, inundated by the history of glory and obscurity!

First time I personally came driving across Peshok Road was some fifteen years ago, while I was driving to Darjeeling from Gangtok. Though I have been in this road many times thereafter, I still think that upon a successful climb, it still gives a immense satisfaction when you reach your destination. You have mastered a difficult road. I guess Pankhabari is less steeper than this road, though it contains more bends. There is only the Bloomfield Road in this entire district which is steeper than this. By the way, have you travelled by the Goke-Zamuni road lately? If so, please share a video riding from Jorethang to Darjeeling (Not the opposite way). Thanks.

দাদা আপনার বাইকের সমস্যা টা মিটেছে ? আজকের ব্লগ টা প্রতিবারের মতোই ভালো লেগেছে , আপনার মত আমারও দার্জিলিং কে তুলনামূলক বেশি সুন্দর লেগেছে কালিম্পং এর থেকে । পেশক রোডে গাড়ির চাপ অনেক কম, তিন মাইল বাজারের আগে সেইভাবে কোনো গাড়ির আনাগোনা চোখে পড়লো না ।
