Ambrabat’s tackle summed up what is wrong with VAR. That was a blatant penalty and Gordon’s sock was even ripped from Ambrabat coming down on his Achilles from behind. You cannot excuse that missed call, period. In all seriousness and not looking to mock or banter, you genuinely have to call into real question the competence of VAR officials if they seriously cannot correctly determine blatant penalties like that.
You think it's a penalty and that's fine, but it wasn't a clear and obvious error. He feels a bit of contact and somehow both his legs stop working and collapse beneath him. I'd hate being a ref these days having to deal with 20 diving cheats every match
@bengilliam7877 your point makes no sense though. He didn't dive. The foul was clear and the mistake by the ref was obvious. That was a pen plain and simple.
United bought him a new pair 😄🤣
@@Paddykelly8418Newcastle United - Salford reds😃
@@bengilliam7877 a stamp on the achilles is as blatant as blatant pens get
How on earth is mark saying that’s not a penalty, deluded
Because he is a total clown?
Typical man u fan
pen🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣all u need help in hospital
Clearly you’re an airhead. But carry on.
Studs on someone’s heel while they’re dribbling is no longer a foul then 😂😂😂😂
Poor Anthony, hope he's ok after that horrific incident. He'll have to buy a new pair of socks now bless him
@@bengilliam7877you’d probably still be on the floor
Knob manc alert
@@bengilliam7877 his movement was worse all game after that, even for the goal, and considering it's right before euro squad gets picked it genuinely might have taken him out of the euro squad, even if it's not necessarily injured, and you'd have flooded Old Trafford again but with tears if it happened to you
@@anthonysmurthwaite6258Didn't play today did he? These people are deluded mate
Shouldn’t be an argument, studs on the heel, Casemiro tackle was fine, his was not
How's he arguing that wasn't a pen?
The failure to award Gordon a penalty was anabsolute disgrace. How does VAR not catch it!? Newcastle were cost CL Round of 16 by corrupt officials, and could be cost European football next season by them as well 😡
Well the dodgy goal vs arsenal gave you 3 points and probably shouldn’t have stood, all balances out in the end
@seanb25 they at least went over that with a fine-toothed comb, and that was less obvious than the very clear foul on Gordon which hardly got a look. Not really comparable
@@nathanthomson1931 doesn’t wash. Can go over it as many times as they want but they still got it wrong, probably the same as this penalty. Ok they didn’t go over it but maybe if they did they’d have gave a pen? Whereas the arsenal game they went over it and gave it, still got it wrong, so could argue that’s even worse.
Said it before and I'll say it again Goldstein is a closed minded fan and nothing you or anyone else says he wont agree with,
Most people i've seen on line have the opinion its a pen including a hell of a lot of Utd fans.
VAR would get that pen right for Man City. If someone does Haarland like Amrabat did Gordan City are getting that penatly every day of the week.
How does Goldstein even work here, has he ever even played 5 a side ? How does ripping someones Achilles happen in a fair challenge 🤦🏼♂️🤣. Hes a proper old school utd fan absolute psychopath 👍
Shock the man united fan telling an ex professional player its not a penalty 😂
Didn’t know Darren bent used to be a referee
And yet when United have had dodgy handballs given against them this year nothings said and were told. “United don’t deserve any decisions” so so what if Andy sticks up for his team on here. No one else does
Its the second time this has happened. Raheem Sterling did it against Anthony Gordon, and no card was given. It's poor officiating, and VAR corruption. If a Man U, Man City, or Arsenal player receive that it would be a red.
This whole "clear and obvious" needs to go and be replaced by simply, "is it a penalty"
United will reimburse Gordon for his socks 😅
Well that’s clear on obvious 🤣
I agree. Not all contact is a foul. If this had happened outside the box somewhere and midfield and it's a no call, we wouldn't even talk about it.
@@snowmannpacino3499 but it’s the VAR involvement that makes you think “hang on a minute” because it was a clear foul for sure - I would ditch VAR and accept the mistakes - with VAR people understandably expect near on perfection and yet time and time again don’t get - given the impact that the delays have on the flow of a game it’s a pain the the backside imo
Update: a so-called panel of experts 😂 have voted it wasn't C&O and they did not give a particular reason. Also bear in mind it was a article off BBC sport! 😂😂😂😂
Here's the point. Always having a go at refs and VAR and can't agree on this.
A prime example here that decisions are down to interpretation! Even ex-players have different views. Even without VAR and with ex-players as refs there would be a difference in opinions!
I’m sure the rule this year is tangling of legs doesn’t mean a foul… not that it’s been enforced consistently this year
It is a penalty🙄🚶♂️
only ones who said not a pen is man utd fans
Gordon HAS to go to Germany, he's been outstanding.
Devil's advocate... Incidental contact
@@JordiBoy_ nobody is saying it was intentional but it's still a blatant and dangerous foul caused by recklessness that took down an attacking player in the box, definitely a pen
@@JordiBoy_ sorry I meant to respond the initial comment didn't mean to @ you
garncho got tackled multple times vs Burnley, zero pens given it happens
Being tackled isn't being fould, stamping on a vulnerable part of the body at high speed in the box and there not being a penalty is as bad as the Liverpool goal that was wrongfully disallowed vs Tottenham
Get goldstein off the air hes the most bias pundit out there no one wants a united cheer leader we have enough
I didn’t watch the United game, seen a clip of the tackle and I’d say pen but neither here nor there id like to know the ruling behind the decision? That’s ALL I want from refs Or VAR just explain why in your opinion that isn’t a foul. In the chelsea game lamptey blatant red (IMO) not given “not conclusive evidence” reece James blatant red, but much less danger/violence involved in the challenge, just petulance, red card given by VAR, cucurella won a penalty, that wasn’t a penalty in real time (IMO) and was rightly overturned because the player touched the ball, so the referee overturned his decision and awarded Brighton a goal kick? It’s frustrating to have no idea why these decisions are given and the commentators are left trying to cover up for the refs making their own assumptions.
Goldstein is an absolute 🤡 typical nonsensical Utd fan
Henderson never got to play for United or Madrid 😂
Penalty all day
Definitely a pen
Amrabat caught him but at the end of the day it's about time we had a decision go in our favour considering we've been on the receiving end of some diabolical decisions that've cost us wins so I don't feel bad for Newcastle in the slightest
So you're saying you should be allowed to cheat because you haven't been allowed to cheat in a while??
00:05 Goldstein sounds so shitfaced here.
So hanaa was it a fcucking penalty or not
This is why I’ve stopped listening to talksport. That clown
Goldstein hypocrite
Incidental contact that was! This is the problem VAR is having SOME refs think it’s 100% pen and others are not that subjective aspect is what needs to come out of VAR!
Goldstein worst person on talkSPORT how has he got a job
Who cares?.
It'd a pen ffs it is clear and opioid
Possibly get in the England team who getting in front of him his precious Rashford come on overrated shite.
A blind man with sunglasses on could’ve seen that that’s a penalty.
But now Newcastle fans know how it feels. Very important game for them.
Could cost them a European place?
It's just a case of a decision that they felt should have gone their way, and it didn't
But Newcastle didn’t play good enough to win but they didn't play bad enough to lose either
Same with our game..
We definitely didn't deserve a win vs Newcastle at St James but we didn't deserve a loss either…
Classic boy who cried wolf situation. If Gordon didn’t dive every game he plays, then maybe he wouldve been believed against united.
He didn't even appeal for a pen because he thought it was so obvious it would definitely be given by var. Diving has nothing to do with the situation. It was an obvious penalty
Not a pen. How many decisions went against us this season? Duh
It wasn't a definite penalty. Just because his sock got damaged means nothing. When the audio is released they'll say it was an accidental coming together. Which happens when players are running across each other.
An accidental coming together 😂😂😂😂
I wonder who you support… easiest call a ref will have to make for anybody with a working brain
@@jmc4226well it wasn't deliberate contact was it? And regardless of that it was nowhere near enough to send him falling to the ground like that
@@bengilliam7877 yeah the studs ripping his sock showed it was minimal
