11 Pastors and Ministers Jailed on 'Sham' Charges: 'Imprisoned for Their Faith'

- Eleven pastors and ministry leaders are being held in prison in Nicaragua after holding mass evangelism campaigns last year to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As CBN News reported, they were partnering with the U.S.-based ministry Mountain Gateway, and those outreaches were amazingly successful.
After the outreaches, the Christian leaders were imprisoned and convicted on money laundering charges. The government gave the ministers prison sentences ranging from 12 to 15 years and a stunning $80 million in fines.
The Mountain Gateway ministry vehemently denies the allegations, and religious freedom advocates call the trial a "sham" and "persecution." They say the charges appear to have been fabricated because the authoritarian regime of Nicaragua felt threatened by the success of the outreaches.

Jesus told us how to pray…decrees and declaring wasn’t part of it.
I pray that these ministers of the gospel will all be released from prison soon and that they will be allowed to continue their work for the LORD. And that God will bless this legal team from Alabama with all of the resources and connections they will need to make this right. In Jesus name. Amen

What? Why would they launder money? They're only trying to share the gospel with people.
Maybe they're asking for a tithes. Most of them do that everywhere, they maybe preaching the word of the Lord, but they're also asking for money which they called "tithes". Only few believers who had the real faith preaching everywhere without asking in return, like Father and Jesus's disciples.
They were NOT laundering money but that was an easy accusation from the gubmint to be able to stop their movement.

this reminds me of the film GODS NOT DEAD 2 where a teacher was prosecuted for talking about JESUS in a classroom in a history lesson about the most influencial people who lived. its just the devil having a hissy fit because he knows GOD will eventually set these men free who are upholding the name of the LORD.

Mountain gateway hasn’t been there for 30 years… They only have been there maybe around 10 tops…also this isn’t new, it’s been happening to the Catholics there also so don’t think it was the big crusades that they were doing. Can’t really say either it’s because of the gospel because the Catholics don’t preach it. So sad what’s happening to these innocent pastors but just wanted to correct a couple things…
