I'm in love with a lot of you're songs Flume
Flume te amo💗 Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Great video and really thoughtful idea, this shows that you really care about your fans. Only problem is we can't see what is on screen when Harley is talking about it so you should show more of those clips/get a pvr
bro your actually amazing !! putting down under on the map bro
even more of a fan now since he seems like a genuine laid back sorta guy!
This is actually really neat! Woah
when australians say 'muck around'
Love it
Awesome, thanks!
This's helpful
nice sessions. It helped me
U r pro and inspire me. ty
Keep up the good work
Lol imagine learning the very basics of Ableton from a legend... This video is like Albert Einstein teaching kids how to add and subtract haha
Good to see that you use your beat pad in live shows! Come back to do a Perth show soon pleeeease!
Freakin love your music, genius!
Pure genius yes!
i want this!
Switching from FL Studio to Ableton Live was the smartest choice I made. I feel as if i'm more productive and creative on Ableton workflow for some reason. FL Studio just feels overly simplified. I no longer preset surf, instead i make my own sounds with VST plugins.
URSkrub I used fl studio, hated it went to ableton live 9 for like 3 years and learned shit ton, and went back to fl now i love fl more, but i still like abelton because it forcess you to learn shit lol.
loaded up
100k special 1 hour mix PLEASE
Could you please tell me if that's a normal Novation launchpad or the mini version you're using??
i'm trying to start to use Session View more to prepare myself to do live stuff someday. i realize that me just bedroom producing and posting on Soundcloud isn't really getting me anywhere. i have to overcome my fear of crowds and start getting stuff in order for shows. one problem holding me back is that i still don't have a lot of musical consistency in what i all make and my mixing is still not the best, so i'm kinda afraid to live DJ my own shit right now.
same dawg
essentially
Bro, make a studio cast please! Or some sound design tutorial :D
Which TOMS ARE U USING!? I NEED TO KNOW
come on flume! thats some simple shit. what vst's are you using... what synths... give us the good stuff....
I always thought most of his material was sampled... no?
***** yes. but the basslines are created with synths. high quality ones at that. watching the video again makes me think it is the moog in the background. which brings me to more questions.. what interface is he using.. Uad? and all of his samples...drums..etc.. have to be mastered.. iwant to know what vst, or program he is mastering in. if he has any favorite mastering tools... stuff like that.. real producer stuff.. not welcome to your first time using ableton ever by flume.
Jamie Malmquist he doesn't master his own tracks. his label masters his tracks i believe i'm not to sure but i know that he doesn't master them himself.
@@SpacialGraphics does he atleast do his mixes?
@@jamiemalmquist123 I’m pretty sure he uses specific vsts here and there but i wouldn’t be surprised if he owned an actual moog synth. When you’re super hands on, i wouldn’t be surprised if he’d rather have the real
Does somebody know which novation launchpad he uses?
what is the song @1:58 ? :D
i love flume.
however, this seems like it'd be fine if the kids were opening up live for the first time. all of this is like, what everyone does, except for maybe the drum rack, even tho that is quite common as well
Flume you reached 100k subscribers
Also reached my wank bank bro
what is the brand of the drum pad?
Antonio Rico Piqué novation launchpad
what is that korg he uses?
korg microkey
i think i want this to be my career
How did that shit turn out? The plot thickens!
TSDDE came to the same decision, I'll update you in three years!
lol
still a shorter hiatus than attack on titan
@@LegalBeagle925 update time haha
did anyone from this comment section make it? lol
does anyone know which launchpad he's using?
Looks to be a Mini. I may be wrong but the small form factor looks like it

llamapie24 not only is late, its also wrong.. Its a Novation Launchpad
I'm reallllly late but he's actually not wrong. thats what that device is. for example everyone has a car but its all different companies.

how does flum's genere called??
do you know any musicians in the genere?
thanks a
lot!
טהר שפי-רפלד also check out Empia
glitch-hop, downtempo, chillwave, future garage... check out Ta-ku, Ryan Hemsworth, Shlohmo, Flying Lotus, Polographia, Lapalux, Arca... that should keep you going for a while haha
wish he also used FL Studio.. I have both DAWs.... according to a research article, their performance and quality output is actually the exact same, the only difference is the obvious for the most part. (default synths, packs, drum roll and modulation mechanics)
which has the default synths in it?
Fl Studio. If you pay for the most expensive version it has some like Harmor. There are two great ones I use in the Producer edition called 3x Osc (extremely powerful for making bass) and Sytrus (to me it feels like a retro synth) and it comes with tons of different effect plug ins including decent side chain. Ableton also has preset synths that sound really nice, but from what I recall you can only really adjust them with a small set of modulations.
+Thomas G (KURU) will definitely look into FL Studio then..thanks for the info man
do as much research as you can! FL Studio does have an unlimited free trial.
OK thank you :)
Who the fuck was filming this
farrrk harley looked pretty nervous
ur nan
Really??? One of my favorite Producers teaches the Different of Session vs Arrange View? :D Fucking Serious?? That´s like Bill Gates would teach how to klick the Windows-Button
this is to music as microsoft clipart is to art.
sounds like a tin can
i like what he does with ableton, but nothing more lame than pressing enter on a laptop during a live show. musician? not so...
Did he not just explain how he plays live in this video?
He's a producer , he's promoting his shit .. get over it , as long as the crowd is entertained no one cares how he does it .
aaaaaaaand also, people don't press 'enter' to play a song.
that, you don't even know, then you shouldn't be talking about this.
Frederik Groborsch it's actually the spacebar = play my friend
Frederik Groborsch he mixes tracks live using an APC40 and triggers different loops and parts of songs during live sets and plays the drums/uses the launchpad like a keyboard so I think yes and he also uses a keyboard during his sets to play certain songs.
