#imperator #imperatorrome - Hry
A mod I’d recommend is Terra Indomnita (something like that) which expands the map to basically be most of the old world all the way to Japan and parts of indochina as well as pushing up a bit further north. It also keeps all the changes of imperator invictus.
Time to create Mongol Empire a bit early.
It is a fork from Invictus.
@@Turisteiro291 didn’t know that! Thank you for telling me 👍
Thanks for letting me know about this mod
@@danubeisreallypeculiarrive7944south east Asia would be better
i believe the reason why south Egypt is called upper egypt is bc of the way the nile flows, which is from the south to the north, I think it was from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean which spans about 6600 kms
Yep, that's how almost all lower / upper regions are named. In Europe as well.
Yup. Rivers flow from "Upper" elevation to "Lower" elevation.
Exactly - it's the same reason that "Lower Saxony" in Germany is in the northern part of the country (well, that and the fact that it is generally at a lower altitude than much of the country).
this is true! but also, "north" wasn't always "up" on maps. so even some areas will be called lower and upper regardless of going up or downstream. when there was consensus to put north as the upward direction on maps these all stopped tho, so it's mostly classical and medieval traditional names
@@macizogalaico Yes! In fact this is where the term "Orient" comes from when talking about Asia. It used to be common to use East instead of North to **Orient** the maps!
If you go to levies-map mode you can select where exactly your levies spawn. This will save you a lot of headaches as you can do this during war and get rid of barbarians and rebellions instantly.
Wait What?!
Yeah I love this map mode, I added it to the quick map modes for how much I use it. Unfortunately it only *kinda* works for tribal countries :(
@@zigedelic3909 Nope, works for all nations. Legions of course can't be spawned, but levies of Rome, Carthage can be spawned in a targetted location.
@@rvandrie7740 No, it doesn't. Tribal nations have only one of their armies spawn where you click, the one lead by the primary tribal chief. All the other armies lead by the other chiefs will spawn in the capital of the region.
Yay more Imperator rome Thanks for being one of the only youtubers still playing this game
I think one of the most fun playthrough is Scythia, you have 2 options, one where you "civilize" and essentially become hellenized, or, far better, you can conquer the crimean greeks and reform into a steppe horde, a really rare governement form that pretty much makes you ancient Genghis Khan.
There's a barbarian map mode that shows you where the barbarian tribes are and it can give you an idea of when they will pop up. Also, you can gradually get rid of them by increasing the civilization level around it.
Love your vids dude !
except that they're free pops if you're willing to pay the civ cost. They never kill your pops on sieges and leave 500 troops on every land. Just let them dissolve and all be fine.
@@association3cm675 Appreciate it.👍
I love your videos
I’d say you are right and partially responsible for its massive surge in active players.
Massive surge: 500 people
@@swadianknight9394 that’s like 10 times what it used to be.
@@swadianknight9394 I guess it has actually plateaued again, but the peak did spike quite a bit when Laith was showcasing invictus months back.
nah, it got pretty popular after victoria 3 came out
@@FlamingtacoXd people realized “okay maybe that’s not the worst paradox can do” lol.
Tbf the game has come a very long way since then. I have been loving it since the big combat update.
An Imperator Rome video by Laith where noone is starving? That's a new one. Also the elephant bullying is perfect, fits the Carthage vibe.
"I think I just killed somebody, thats cool"
- The Lathe, 776 BC
The King returns! So stoked to see Imperator vids again - big update with 21 new missions comes out in a few days!
For province loyalty management, if your expansion path had too many unintegrated culture and different religion, you need to rush the tech for great temples and grand theaters, then build it in every city. They increase conversion and assimilation speed and also gives province loyalty.
When at war, remember to let your ruler's army (the levies raised from your capital region) besiege every city. It triggers an event that allows you to loot the city. It's an easy way to get tons of money.
Also click on the levy map mode to raise troops in the specific province you want, will save a lot of time
One of the most fun runs I had in Imperator Invictus was as Tasm, the tribe in central arabia. Great mission tree. Fun challenging starting location
If you have extra stability, it's worth considering handing out additional rights (the "decisions" in the culture tab) to some cultures instead of outright integrating them. Most decisions cost stability and make your integrated cultures temporarily less happy, but the decisions that boost happiness for those cultures are permanent and actually make integrating them go faster.
It's a good way to make big pockets of other cultures just happy enough that they won't revolt until you can assimilate them.
This game got such good mechanics, real gem after 2.0, too bad it took that long to get there and most people dropped it, with some luck it may see a resurgence as a cult hit in a few years, otherwise stellaris has a lot of similar or straight up same mechanics in some places
You can take levies lead by the ruler or the heir and stand on a provincial capital and spend 15 PI for a temporary loyalty boost to the whole province. It’s a button called royal visitation or something. So no need for harsh treatment.
This would probably be my favorite game if it were more character driven like ck3. I just love the start date. Wish there was a mod in ck3 that went this far back
I just finished a bactria playthrough, and that was after a feudatory swarm Rome. Thank you for bringing me back to the game.
Kush into Real Egypt was my fav campaign.
His hair keeps getting taller
yeah that's how hair works xd
would love to see a colchis run
hey you actually did it i don't know if you read my comment on your last imperator rome vid but i mentioned Kush was my favorite playthrough.
Kushite is my favorite underrated religion in CK3 so seeing even more about it is awesome!
Use the levy map mode to summon your levy. You can spawn them in any territory that's under the command of that governor.
Imperator rome my beloved I am so glad you are back on this game
I can't agree more with that comment about the soundtrack - whenever Oceanus starts up I just have to stop playing and enjoy the stunning music and map. Maybe it's my Rome: Total War nostalgia speaking, but this is honestly my favorite game map, bar none, and the music somehow is just as good.
To stop the little guys:
Quick march tech makes your troops move double speed, at the cost of not regenerating morale (so you'll keep it for the fights).
Different troops have different move speeds, elephants have 2, light cav and archer cavs have 4. archer cav doomstacks can be insanely strong btw. (if you boost them with specific military traditions)
Imperator is one of the only Paradox titles where I don't feel like I'm losing out by playing tall.
Another future reference, for barbarians, it is actually a good thing to let them run their course unless they are attacking a city. Otherwise they leave behind one tribal pop per area they attack, which is a free pop that will eventually turn into a slave or freeman +. So every 500 barbarians equals one tribal pop. It’s a great way to increase your pops for free. Fighting them doesn’t do much good anyways, as it drains some manpower for very little tradition gain.
slowly I start to think, that Laith's hair has become it's own entity, controlling him and keeping him from going to the barber :D
Levy size is affect by tech, heritage and government type if I remember right. The Greek city states get a large levy for their size because of it.
"The peasants are revolting."
Laith: I hate when they do that.
THE LEGEND IS BACK
I'll believe Imperator Rome is amazing when I can scroll over Carthage & they include at minimum all of the Poenician /Punic names of places that I know of, as somebody who's not academically an expert in ancient history.
You can dedicate holy sites on map.
It cost 300 or something like that, and you can do it on city panel, right where you can assign your capital.
Also good idea to make capitals of provinces a cities and build atleast 2lvl fort there. Or atleast some fort, so enemies wouldnt just flip whole region by one siege tic.
I've doing a Parthia playthrough on Invictus and it's been really fun
Laith there a mod called 'sounds of imperitor' which sdds the IR soundtrack into eu4 its also ironman compatible
loving the imperator content
Bought the game because you make it seem very fun! Would love to see more!
Did you know there's a Lord of the Rings mod for Crusader Kings 3
apparently after a quick wiki read, the blemmiya were named so after a king of theirs, not related to the latin meaning of "headless" and the name might also be derived from a similar word in bedauye language (beja people, from same area)
although there are some works were it's ascribed because of some apparent lack of neck/head. although some historians have theorized that might be due to a fighting tactic of being somewhat hunched down and keeping the head close to the chest (less target or something, not sure how much of a hunch they're talking about but it kinda reminds me of the boxing stance of keeping your shoulders up and head somewhat tucked in)
With your innovations you wanna focus on specific trees over generalizing with your picks, in order to get the very strong bonuses down trees. One tech can unlock forced march for example.
The techs that unlock new buildings are usually worth going down, especially foundaries (they produce an extra resource in the city they're built in) and great temples (for converting) since they only require three innovations. Also the techs that unlock new laws are usually good, laws can have a huge impact on your country.
Other great techs are the ones that let you choose buffing your cities massively or letting you construct an additional building on all your settlements. Anything that gives you free province investments or extra capital trade routes are handy, and the ones that boost conversion speed and cultural assimilation nationwide are a godsend for big empires.
Really there's a ton of super cool and interesting techs, I'm still a newer player and exploring the tech tree is one of my favorite parts of the game. These are just the ones I've found most useful so far.
IMO building Academies is more important to raising your research (although libs got buffed in Imperator). Academies mean more Nobles in cities which means more research and more import trade routes
I'd love to see you doing Arche Seleukea, seems like a clusterfuck right for you.
I wish this game would receive more love
I would ask you: when is the next last train home video Laith.
Imperator lets goooooooo
Bring more of that please
Just saying but it'd be interesting to see how much flavour the Arabian tribes have in this game
Nothing in base, but I think Invictus has at least some innovations and whatnot, if not dedicated mission trees.
I think the province happiness issues are related to integrating a lot of cultures. Short term it messed with your stability, long term more integrated cultures lowers the happiness baseline for all of them.
laith smoking that kush
When I get back ima do a terra indomita world conquest as Rome :D
I love this game, it was sold out by paradox , it would be great to see you play more
yay i havent seen anybody play this in like years
damn a fresh one
I require a squeakquel
You don't have to tell us Laith, we already know!
unless you're tribal, you can only move slaves. what you do for quick colonization is what we call chain colonizing. there is a 4 minute video explaining it somewhere on youtube lol
My man got a hat made of his own hair
legit my fav tree ❤
Imperator multiplayer using the Invictus mod isn't that bad
Loving the game, but my biggest gripe is that the Successor Kingdoms almost never go to war with each other, aside from the initial scripted events. Oh, and if Rome is not contained or defeated early, you'll almost always have them ruin your game, even if you're far to the east.
Lore of What if I told you this game is amazing now? Momentum 100
You have told me this game is amazing many times now
Man would you try to play RoA on CK3? It seems like such a fun mod
Try to revive the Assyrian Empire in Imperator
Talking about how good the music is but then not letting us listen to it. Laith is a monster.
Laith, you can just give barbarians some money and tell them to bother someone else :D If they occupied one of your provinces, you can ask them to settle there (you need diplo rep) or even create a client state in the provinces they occupy. You can access barbarian diplomacy options by right clicking on the barbarian stack.
Also do not integrate every culture you come across to. Integrating so many cultures causes unhappiness. I usually integrate 4 cultures tops. Make sure you integrate the most populous cultures.
Lastly, levy system works by "total integrated culture - number of slaves in integrated cultures * levy size modifier". Let's say you play as macedon and there are 300 non-slave macedonian pops in your capital region. Standard levy size modifier is 7.5% so this means you can levy 22 cohorts in the Macedon region. You can increase levy size modifier with laws and military traditions. Let's say Macedon has 12.5% levy size modifier. This means they can levy 37 cohorts.
You can also increase the levy size by building buildings that give you more non-slave pop ratios. Build barracks in settlements instead of farms, mines, and slave estates. Barracks will turn more pops into freemen meanwhile farms, mines, and slave estates demote your pops to slaves which is excluded from levy size calculation. Freeman pops also give you manpower.
I absolutely love the time period the game is set in
Laith WANTS to build forts. I am very confused.
Gotta love myself some Kush.
love this damn game
Can we have a bannerlord series that's multiplayer where you and koifish be the criminal Warlords of bannerlord you should look up some mods it would make it even more fun😊

Me and all my homies love and support kush 🍃😝
More imperator rome button here
Play syracuse please, extremely fun and challenging
I was literally just about to like the video. Stop rushing me.
do Aestii gameplay
when barbarians rise, just let them walk around. They will leave 500 troops in every province they capture, making one tribal pop. Barbarians are basically illegal immigrants (free pops)
True, but you really don't want them fully occupying your country... which I definitely don't know because I've been starting to learn map modding and deleted all the other tags in the game. Turns out, when you do that every barbarian army within a few regions of your territory makes a beeline for you. The really funny part is when you colonize just close enough to trigger another wave of barbarians to attack, and suddenly 50k+ troops show up on your borders.
Can u play as qeder or the nabateans and do something like the expansion of islam
Colonizing is so dumb. When you start colonizing one of those two options, the new colony no borders the second option and doesn't have 8 people yet... so it won't let you do both.
tera indomita mod is a better mod as it includes the invictus mod
keep in mind you can also demote cultures after you've integrated them to colonize land... usually at the start you integrate the most pop culture you've got for levies and taxes, later as you expand you try to keep only the bigger or new cultures and demote the fewer... ofc course its also not advisable to promote/demote blindly, the global happines malus are heavy and last quite a lot
