  • In this video I cover a recent install of some external lighting to a modern holiday lodge park.
    5 LED floodlights installed along with 2 decorative fittings.
    Small review of a new LED floodlight i've been recommended along with a small review of a Hensel/Newlec adaptable connection box.
    Enjoy the Video!

    To avoid mullering the conduit boxes, try using a 20mm hole saw instead of a hss drill bit.
    Those remote setting gadgets are a big improvement over the fiddly little dials that are usually provided.

    Brilliant video. You are such a clean/neat worker. Any chance of another electrical testing video 👍

    I’ve installed a few of those floods, exactly the same just a different name. They are pretty well made and bright but not stupidly bright. Only criticism would be that they are still pretty directional, the light doesn’t cover a wide area. Tidy job, as usual 👍🏼

    Great videos mate. What is the make and model of the floodlight please? You're doing a fab job. Keep the vlogs coming. Maybe a van tour next? Always good to see how fellow Sparky's rack them out and what kit you use etc. Cheers!

    Where did you get the flood lights from? Like the videos as well. You obviously take pride in your job. Very neat work

    Great video ....
    Quick question are those ladders any good? Couldn't post a video of all the different configurations they have and what scenarios you use them in?
    All the best with the growth of your channel good looking vids and flow to them and your only a few vids into the channel.

      Thanks again for the kind comments mate!
      I'd be lost with out them to be honest mate, they extended to a brilliant height as a ladder as well as steps. Also stand up and tuck away within my van (Vauxhall Vivaro) rather than having to clamp them on the roof rack.
      Next time I'm using them in a video I'll be sure to give a quick demo!

    Top stuff mate. You deserve more subs. Did you screw direct into the cladding or use rawl plugs etc.

    Nice work mate. How about the conduit box that feeds into the bedroom light, could you use an IP rated box for that as you could get some water ingress from the hole into the bedroom light?

    • @SurelecTV
      @SurelecTV  Před 6 lety +3

      Zed Man good question mate, I drill all holes into buildings at enough of an angle so any water shouldn’t ingress inside. In this situation I also sealed the hole up with silicone and installed a gasket on the conduit box lid

    As you were walking around showing what you have installed I noticed the LED lights were coming on, so do the remote controller work all the lights or do they have dip switches for each light.

    Hiya Bud. Enjoying your vids. I'm relatively new to the industry; finding my feet, as it were, so watching loads and loads of working leckys in action.
    Keep 'em coming. Maybe invest in some Go Pro gear? Makes for a better viewing experience but obviously takes time to set up. Have to increase your rates!! 😉

    probably a stupid question here as I'm not an electrician but why did you need the adaptable box couldn't you feed the wire directly to the light without using the box?

    • @SurelecTV
      @SurelecTV  Před 6 lety +4

      Ammar Madni Hi Ammer, good question! As with a lot of LED lighting, the connections have already been made within the light so you can’t take them apart to connect directly too (this could potentially lose the IP rating of the light). This light comes supplied with 1meter of cable, which isn’t quite long enough to terminate anywhere close internally in this situation, therefore the connection needs to be made within a weather proof box. Hope this explains it okay

      @piotrlobacz Před 6 lety

      This particular light has permanent connection made inside by factory. Other ones what come with external PIR can have flex removed and third party one wired in. I've done that on one in my house.
