Pretty sure this guy is the best ski instructor in the world no other CZcams videos I watched have come close.
Jonathan Baker can’t agree more!
He is talking the super basics to get you going for day 1 basically, try watching few of Deb Armstrong, Harald Harb
, Darren Turner or Josh Foster videos. I personally would advice anyone who is willing to spend the time and money to sign up for camp with your local resort. The best way to really make the jump is when you ski few days in a raw. Stay safe
Totally agree
Literally the best skiing tutorial I've seen on CZcams. The drills are so intuitive. One-legged skiing really teaches you to put ur bodyweight onto the outside ski & interestingly makes it looks like snowboarding. (except you upper body is not aligned with lower body) From there, you can easily turn your now weightless inside ski and make parallel turns!
In six minutes, this man has perfectly encapsulated what I've failed to explain to my kids for the past 3 years. I SALUTE YOU, GOOD SIR.
Was skiing at Lake Placid this week, first time I've skied in 10 years. And now I'm looking at videos to improve my form (and not be so sore the next day). This video is easily the best ski lesson video I've seen so far. Simple, straight forward and to the point without trying to dazzle you.
Great video. It perfectly shows the gradual transition from wedge to parallel.
I love watching people who are close to my age sharing what they love to do! Thank you for making skiing fun for everyone!
Hello from Sölden, Austria - lovely video, loved your energy. Thanks for putting this up!
This demo is awesome man, made me see the transition from wedge to parallel so much more clearly. Thank you!
Best clarified instructions video and fun to watch!
In about 5min you taught me which drill to work on and improve. Holy shxxxxxxx! Hugh thanks! Thank you!

Yes. The best way to learn. I wish I was not so stubborn and started with him 40 years ago

Best communicator to teach skiing in the world
Today was my first green mountain, still struggle to learn more so unlock more mountains 😂 you are a great instructor, I wish you had a school in my area :(
Best ski instruction video online! I learned something! Btw do you recommend short skis like that for beginners? Those look way short.
Great video! Best one I found!
I went to a place like this in my area. Took 1 lesson on it then I took a lesson on the snow and it was such a smooth transition. I did not fall once and it was mostly because of the indoor lessons
Great presenter...must be a great skiing teacher!!!
I want one of those revolving carpets in my house!!
Love this video, helping me a lot
Really great video and very useful.

Hi ! Asia 's had this kind of school to learn's ski 's and snow boarding! Useful show , thank you! I earned a lesson! From this ! Hi
Very good good instructor 😊
And as the last excersize of this video you can turn both of your legs and balance on your hands as you go down the slope.
great instructor
This is a very concise introduction to ski technique! How long will it take usually from Foot Tap Exercise to Parallel Turn?
Super! : )
You're #1
Your Brilliant need a crazy instructor like you lol
That is good if we can have this at home, at least not freeze weather as in the mountain.
As a beginner skier if you don’t learn these fundamentals you’re gonna have a bad time. If you keep falling on the ice ful of snow with skies you’re gonna have a bad time. I need to go to this school and learn the fundamentals really well. This guy is a great teacher!
Love your VDO I want a go lurn with you but I live in michigan.
Best ad on the world
Im gonna learn skiiing only by watching ad !!
Thougt the same.
Gee thanks! My biggest challenge are parallel turns. So frustrating.😩
Here is a comment that I just placed on another video that applies to something you said:
The only negative comment that I have pertains to wedge turns. It makes more sense to initiate turns by moving the skier's center of mass (COM) at an angle forward and down the slope. By transferring the skier's weight to the ski opposite to the direction of the turn, the skier is moving his body away (i.e., uphill) from where he wants to go. By moving his COM down the hill, the angle of the inside (downhill) ski to the snow decreases while the angle of the outside (uphill) ski increases - this causing the turn to happen. This movement of the COM is identical to what happens in parallel skiing. It is far better to learn this skill initially. Otherwise, it because more difficult to unlearn it later after it has become part of the skier's muscle memory.
1Picture1000Words Your comment makes no sense. The downhill ski is the outside ski. Your uphill ski is the inside ski. There is no way that the same ski can be both on thr downhill side whilst simultaneously being on the inside of the turn. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
Not very clear
I wish you were located in Wisconsin....
I wish you open on week day, thank you
Is there any place in the Northeast that offer your school
Nice
Is this somewhat like cross under?
👍👍👍
Is there any place in the UK to have the same facilities please?
chel-ski in London Chelsea
How do I get one of these training slides?
Anyone know if there’s one of those machines in the UK?!
Prezado. Represento o Snowland em Gramado/RS no Brasil. Quero comprar esta esteira, poria me indicar o fornecedor? Obrigado. Forte abraço e vida plena.
Dear. I represent Snowland in Gramado / RS in Brazil. I want to buy this treadmill, would you refer me to the supplier? Thanks. Strong hug and full life.
nice lesson. 6 minutes on this conveyor belt should will get you advanced in no time. lol
if only the mountain was so smooth as the rolling carpet...
Went skiing for the first time today. My first run was a disaster, almost wanted to quit. It all came together, something just clicked. The hill I was on was WAY to big! Yolo
He is very good, however the ski length looks like there 3 feet long! Ballet skis!
This dudes legs are probably as strong as concrete
Ma in Italia non abbiamo nulla di simile?
for what ever reason my mind can't seem to grasp pressure on the left leg to turn right and right to turn left. aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! why am I making it so hard lol
You skipped steering in the turn lesson. Steering should always come before weight shift. (PSIA certified)
Terrible instruction.
Why?
@Kaiqi Zhao This approach will limit your progress, and then you will have to unlearn it and start over.
