Happy new year! I’m not a trendy gal but I still like to see the fashion forecasts. I love the sheer pieces, sequin and pointy toe kitten heels. You ain’t lying about the super high platform heels. Boy, you step down on an uneven surface and that’s it! Also, you’re right about making sure you have extra room in the toe with pointy shoes. Last year I committed to growing closer to the Lord in 2023 and I wish to continue in 2024. I’ve learned so much about Him and myself. Things that I used to runaway from about myself or in other areas of my life I now can address or face. God really has strengthened me. I know He’s faithful and trustworthy. I like mixing/pairing ultra-feminine (eg bows) with masculine (loafers, trousers, etc). The oversized trend was fantastic, but it wasn't for me/my build so I pretty much sat that one out which was a little depressing because I couldn't participate. Would love it if Mary-Jane stiletto pumps would come back. Thanks for your spin on '24 trends.

Hi Carolyn. New subscriber here. love your channel. Listening to you talk about your religious aspirations and background reminded me a lot of myself. I do believe in God but, I don't know about everything else. I considered myself to be spiritual but not religious up until last year. I found Quakerism. I got curious, looked them up, did some research and lo and behold, they stood for all the things I do. You don't have to believe a certain way to be a quaker. Its all about your own personal connection and relationship with god. I have found it to be a very healing, healthy and nurturing community. I've been going for around 9 mos. Officially became a quaker dec 2023. I'm an african american woman, raised in a southern baptist church for reference.
Binge watch, binge watching content on your channel! I totally get it that things like fashion just keep recycling thru looks of the past to make them into a current trend. Basically, since I am that person that don't like to get rid of anything that I like, I have some original items, with what I thrifted and because I just turn 62, I can wear whatever the heck I want. But I was always like that, I just have to make sure that I don't start dressing for the grandma role. Thanks for sharing!

Another tip with pointed toe.heels is to cut off an old sock and wear it over your toe caps. My toes never hurt when I have them on vs having my toes right up against the shoe

I was all about Barbie core, and you're absolutely right about it being overkill after a while😂, so girl core as a softer version kinda intrigues me. @@ITSCAROLYNGRAY My husband was admitted to the hospital December 12th and was just released this past Friday after two weeks so I haven't been able to rock the coat. He is on the road to a full recovery and on our first celebratory outing I will rock the coat and tag you for sure, I love it so much! One of my fav purchases of 2023!

With regard to connecting to God. Something that has always stuck with me I learned from my mother. She always told me, put your trust in God and not in people. Even church leaders can let you down because they are just people and not perfect. However God can use human vessels despite their imperfections. Listen to what God is speaking into your heart when you attend church. And when you serve, do it to be seen by God not by man.
