Owl in the Pigeon Loft

There was a severe thunderstorm last night, and this morning we found a Great Horned Owl in the pigeon loft.
The only direct path to the outside was through the bob door, and this owl wasn’t having it.
We tossed a blanket over him, and then gently carried him outside and let him go. The owl was very calm when covered with the blanket.
I’m sure this owl had a few pigeons for dinner last night, but we have too many pigeons anyway…

Love GHOs. I think that's a male, judging by its size. Nice capture and release job, I'm sure the pigeons appreciated it.
