- Hey guys!
Thank you so much for the nice words on my announcement-video joing ALLT, I overall feel like I wanna play more technical or more rhythmically music (at least for now) and Reflections have dropped some insaaaane bangers lately! After hearing them am I just stoke to hear their upcoming album. This has to be one of the most weirdest songs I’ve ever played before, and by that I mean it has some very interesting part, different not values and syncopated triplets and such. But I felt both before and after the recording that this was a great song for me to improve my playing. 4
I really hope you’ll enjoy this one, I had so much fun recording it as you may tell!

Crazy. The song does not have a “beat”. It’s so many parts put together: Incredible musicianship, patience, timing, and striking. So tidy and clean as well. Crisp.

Hahah ooooh maaan not a fun process at all, at some points while working on a part I sometimes just think "this is probably not that hard and many others would probablyt learn this part 7 times faster than me"
Maybe I'll do a video about it one day if there are people who are interested, but I just repeat a part and play it over and over again, so many times until it gets in the muscle memory haha!

But hey Meinl got so many cool series, the Pure Alloy 19" Crash I use in this video is a bit more of a "classic" sounding crash cymbal and those ain't to expensive either and sounds amazing! The Byzance Traditionell and brilliant serie sounds killer as well, so check out some series before you decide to get the best cymbals out there!

It was just the cymbal I needed, I felt like the 20” Pure Alloy was a bit to much for the music I play, 19” opens up faster and has just a slightly darker tone which is siiiick!

I covered this song on my TD 27KV and I was just wondering how you got the audio of the original drums out? Because it sounds so good with your drums and the guitar, bass, and vocals. Did you cut out the original drums somehow or are you just playing over them with sufficient volume on your end.
I’m playing over the original track, hard to hear the drums from the actuall track when I almost play the drums note for note!

What is the time signature?
Depends which part you mean, starts with 4/4, then goes to 6/8 and later on back to 4/4, and ends with a 12/8, at least that’s how I counted it haha
