It's amazing the things you can find on you tube. Very cool video and thank you to whoever put it here on CZcams!
A reminder of a simpler time. I wish I was alive back then. Great cars, music, and women
Great design everywhere; flowing coupe curves; abundant slim, sharp-tit'd beauties abound..where is that time machine dammit?
God, this just screams late 60s and I love it
The 71's are so much cooler across the board then the 1970
Cool video, nice to see them as dodge built them. Thanks for posting this one!
I have a 340 R/T....love it...
Classic car, classic people not consumed by hate and political bullsh!t ..
Lol yeah right it was still there
I have a 2010 Challenger; love this car. Just added a pin strip just above the crease across the sides. I just noticed in this video they were putting a double pin strip across the top of the fenders and doors.
Your model year is modeled after the 1970.
You should have got a real challenger. 1970-74 not that rebadged knock off
@@purepony,"Rebadged?"
Oh Gawd, the beginning of this video sounded like it was narrated by Endorra, Samantha's mom from the show "Bewitched: Beautiful car, great buy for the money.
The convertible R/T Challenger wasn't available for 1971. It was still possible to order one (without R/T badging) through the option sheet, with a hot 340. There was at least one built that way, it was lemon twist yellow& black interior
i have 4 challengers in my house hold 2 71 challengers and 2 2020 challenger one being a sxt and the other being a scatpak
and lots of insecurity ... huh ?
So weird they didn't offer the 440 4 barrel in the Challenger R/T. 🤔
I have a little 1:34 scale 1971 R/T, I got it for two bucks.
Holy shit
I think I will dust off my time machine and go back in time and get the purple one. And maybe just stay there.
14" wheels. Ahha. Oh boy.
What's with the lost in space outfits?
Wish I had this car. The one thing I really like is the hidden wipers. I like the seats too and door panels. I like the simplicity and would hate to drive a computer screen which is so prevalent in today's plastic crap cars.
Then you could be Dodge material also new modern cars are more safe yes but unreliable made in china compare to this made in USA and no computer or sensor
wish cars were made like this today..
William Jones -wished WOMEN were made this way today!
Gen 3 Challengers are made much better today
No comparison
@@moparchallenger749 All cars are way better made now. They even have more power.
Still, this car really turned me on, baby, back in the day. A classic look.
@@bongodave13 I like this 1971 challenger than 1970 challenger look
Today's challengers are fast but ugly outback.........looks like a loaded diaper
There is a quiz at the end so pay attention.
Lot of safety/performance features not available in other makes.
Chrysler used to be the shizz of engineering. Now they make the best TV screen in a vehicle.
the 198ci motor is 20 sec 0.60??
It is hard to believe they actually put it in a Challenger.
With doors, hood, trunk lid, fenders, seats and glass removed.
I have a 225 in my 71 Challenger, l kinda like it
Looks like Arizona in the video anybody know where this is filmed?
👍
Am I the only one who finds the music a little creepy? 😅
I will take one please. Where do I sign?
Too bad '71 was a sales disaster for Challenger , only 23,000 built. I've owned two. R/T and a 340 convertible.
for the time perhaps that way for dodge-but for the buyer -a muscle car that keeps climbing in $$$$$ value
I doubt the 440 could only be ordered with six barrels.
It is hard to believe, but it is true. In 71 the 440- 375 was dropped.
@@markg7030 Yup same in the Cuda for that year, 440-6Pack was all they offered. I think they wanted to clear their inventory of these parts.
How early 70's fashionable. The women are wearing trousers.
I love these videos, they're delightfully terrible
Didnt like the grill on the 71.....
it is a matter of taste in style -I think hideaway headlights-charger style on a 1970 grill would be neat
goldflakechallenger I prefer 1971 challenger rather than 1970 challenger
70 is king 71 is prince 72-74 are good candidates to clone 70
@@purepony 👍
That was really BAD
I'm glad cars today are not made like this dinosaur.
Yeah I know Ted. Cool cars suck.
Asshats didn't get a trophy for 17th place either.
Must suck to be you.
I like the classics better than the clones-many could beat these revamps in the quarter mile and the fun factor
goldflakechallenger also what you think of 1971 charger
Go back to yer wrong wheel drive honda vtec thingy in hopes you will someday be just like Paul Walker or Vin Diesel
Lol 😂 Ted Roberts you made me laugh. You must be that cool proud single guy who lives in his moms basement and drives around in a 1993 Toyota Tacoma with a huge USA flag and t shirt seat covers
