EXCELLENT interviews with all of them. Each with good nuggets of advice.
BUT the Blockbuster CEO saying you have to embrace change is RIDICULOUS, because IF Blockbuster embraced change, they would have bought out Netflix and been worth many billions of dollars, instead of going bankrupt. PLEASE ask him this if you are interviewing him at greater length.
He's probably the reason blockbuster doesn't exist anymore.@@private464

With a keen interest in investing, I often ponder the strategies that propel top investors to millionaire status through their investments. Having recently sold my home and acquired $545K in equity, I'm uncertain about my next move. Should I invest in stocks now, or should I wait for a better opportunity?
diversifying your investments is the safest way to handle it. One way to lessen the effects of a market crisis is to distribute investments over a variety of asset classes, such as international equities, bonds, and real estate. It's critical to look for expert advice.
The significance of advisors often goes unrecognized until emotions cloud judgment. I remember a couple of summers ago, during a challenging divorce, when I needed significant assistance to sustain my business. Turning to licensed advisors, I discovered someone highly qualified. Despite inflation, she played a crucial role in boosting my reserves from $275k to $850k.
Lately, I've been researching advisors, but the market updates I've encountered haven't been very positive. Who's your guide?
I searched for her complete name on the internet and located her page. I then sent an email and scheduled a meeting to converse with her; now, I'm awaiting her response.
Fucking bots man
The common factor among all of them is the sense of peace they convey when speaking, and their extremely high communication abilities. I believe that is the key to success, not so much the degrees you have or how intelligent you are, but rather how savvy you are and how well you can navigate through interactions with people.
If you have a clear goal, then talking with people becomes instictively better, as do all skills. People do not understand how destructive it is to go about in life without specific goals, be it short- or long- term.

The last guy was on point. Many rich people got rich by building equity. This can be either by building a business or in real estate. Then they sell and get a major pay day. Even CEOs make a lot of their total compensation as performance bonuses and stocks options, not salary. So the trick is to create value then sell.

Buy low, sell high. Identifying cycles and its valuable lows or impending bull runs.
Especially in big tech you get to buy stocks at 10-20% discount. Keep accumulating equity. We all gettin rich someday 😛

The CEO of Blockbuster talking about change is too funny. You know he learned that lesson after saying Netflix was gonna be a fad.
If you look at the story of Block Buster they were adapting to change. They started a streaming service but mega investor in block buster Carl Icahn killed it. For a moment Netflix was scared.
Netflix was scared and thought they were going to fail that's why they tried to sell to Blockbuster. They had two options fail or throw a Hail Mary.

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.
If you don't find a means of multiplying your money, you will wake up one day and realize that the money you thought you had, had been exhausted. Investment is a ladder to climb the financial wall.

This is a personal experience that I've gone through within the business world is that sometimes you do get lost and that's totally fine. What I would advise is try not to do things all by yourself. I struggle with this still to this day but it sucks. My friend gave me two quotes and I have no idea where they're from but the first one is "when the student is ready the teacher will appear" and "you only have to be right once."
First one is for finding a mentor and the second one is doesn't matter how long it takes, you just have to get it right once.
Dude, keep it up!
Thank you for that!!!

Quick google search says 750k/yr sal. for blockbuster in 2010, probably some bonuses on top of that. Likely made a mint as 7-11 CEO during buyout, hence a healthy amount of capital gains can be assumed. Probably showing over a mil income regularly, and likely some bigger years than that.

@@AI-Tool-ReviewerSorry, my comment at text value is rude.
I genuinely mean it tho. Teach yourself how to know what you need to learn, that's the best way to do it
Example. Instead of asking someone "oh can you teach me stocks and financial investments?" I instead decided to teach myself; write down terminology, read books from multiple respected investors, connect the dots on what's universally agreed upon by experts, create my own excel page to analyze stocks, and learn my own strategies and what each strategy is good and bad at.
I made 8.9% in stocks this year because of it

The Blockbuster CEO is smart, he learned his lessons the hard way from Netflix
This was so good! Thanks for all the info.
I used to ask the people I thought were rich what they did for a living when I was working at their house. One thing I determined is that many of the people were not rich, they were in a lot of debt. The others were loaded. I never thought of asking them what advice they had. Good video.
anytime I worked in a wealthy persons home I would ask for any advice and/or any book that they would recommend.
Out of 7 years of doing this only one person said something that changed my mentality. I explained to him my 5 year plan to start my own business, he listened and at the end told me “I’m only going to say one thing! If that is really what you want, you can do it in a year!” Then he turned and walked away.
Dude they are some REAL ones up in Dallas. I took every piece of that advice and gave it a special place in my head.
