Makes me so happy to see all the little ones in this troop. I hope they have been able to continue to grow up safely within their troop. Just beautiful.
Took me right back to that day when we were observing this most delightful group. Thanks for capturing that wonderful time. Also got to see quite a few baby antics I hadnt observe while there.
A complete full house pre-school kindergarten school. Bunch ff little toddler child cuties. God bless the parents the whole troop. All the parents and the little cuties stay protected be safe in the wild. God bless you all let no harm come to you darlings from any poachers. As long as you all live this journey of life. Stay blessed happy healthy playful protected and safe. God bless.
Beautiful family. They all taking a nap. The silverback is sound sleep, he has a big job on his hand taking care of the family, father, husband and fight for his family. Rest
*Humans should not disturb these wonderful primates. Let them live in the forests in peace and tranquility. We should only protect their habitat from poachers and agriculture.*
Eco tourism is essential to protecting them, that is just an unfortunate fact. Conservation efforts by these African countries is centered around it. With a large proportion of the human population essentially at survival level, they had to be convinced that preserving gorillas was in their interest at that level. Enforcement is now at the level that they are authorized to kill poachers, to get a populace on board with going to that extreme, they have to believe it is essential to their own interest. That's just human nature. And it seems to be working. May not be ideal but it beats the alternative. Hopefully in the future such measure won't be necessary.
Anyone who kills a gorilla should be considered a scumbag and should be put to death. I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would look to destroy these beautiful creatures.
Yes poaching has now reduced and very few cases of mountain gorillas have been reported for example in Uganda we had one case last year when silver back Rafiki was killed by a hunter but also the new birth are rising
