From what I can see nothing is allowed in defense. Offense does what it wants and gets foul calls. Bball changed so bad in that aspect since the 90 it’s sad.

Luka looks like he’s lost 8-10lbs since Kyrie arrived.
Good sign since he has weighed between 248-264 the last several years.
Was 230-235 as a rookie.
I think around 238-242 he will still be heavy enough to be surprisingly powerful in his back down and post game against any defender under 250.
I saw here Irving, Kleber and Markannen play basketball. And some seven dudes with some serious coordination problems. It was funny to watch this.
Dallas needs a big rim protector and much better defense.

The Mavs must have a great medical team/plan. Both Power and Maxi coming back as if nothing happened, after some big injuries.
Is McGee injured? If he is healthy he needs 20-25 mins every game because Mavs are just too small. It was obvious this game. Even Olynyk looked more physically imposing than anyone on the Mavs not to mention Markkanen. They need to power up so to speak for next season. Some good strong PF would do them great. For example Draymond Green, despite people saying oh he is what he is because of GS... No. He wouldnt fit at every team of course but he would fit on a number of teams including Mavs perfectly. What he does is underrated and Mavs need it badly.

Defense is non existent in today's NBA. Players are too quick to line up behind the three point line and take the shot. The big men don't play in the post anymore. the face the basket. It's not really much of a game if there is no defense from either team on the floor and both teams are playing a 94 foot game. The fast break along with the three point shot is the offense now.
Do you guys notice how many 120+ point games we have lately? I mean recent years and even more this season? With all the respect to growing skills, doesn't it look a bit suspicious? I think that partially it has to do with these modern hoops, especially when they became equipped with a 3-way spring, not only front way. They seem to work as shock absorbers and the ball bounces well only the first time and the second bounce is a few inch if any at all, these hoops seem to suck the ball in. I've also heard a version that the hoops are magnetic and the official balls are also equipped with magnetic or metal cords to make them a bit more "forgiving" if the shot is not swoosh. What do y'all think?
Fast pace, shorter but faster people, the 3 pointer being one of the best shots statistics wise, better players, more skill. And then you also have the shot absorbance too. Plus the rules push for high scores too
Have a look at a recent video from Thinking Basketball where he explains exactly why we have these games with crazy amount of point. A lot of it is due to easier offense due to NBA rule changes as compared to the 2000s and prior.
@@alexandrosanastasiou1964 today's NBA players aren't better than 80's and 90's players, they just don't play defense and that's why teams score 150 points like it's nothing.
@@MisterKnowItAll3 average Athleticism is off the charts and almost everybody knows how to shoot nowadays. Today's players are definitely better, it's a billion dollar industry nowadays.
@@alexandrosanastasiou1964 watch a 90's game and see the defense they play, watch the fckin bad boys pistons and then watch a mavericks game you'll see the difference and the reason of why today's NBA players score that much, Lillard and Mitchell scored over 70 points and they aren't even MVP level, the thunder scored over 150 points in a single game and they are one of the worst teams it's stupid to think that their skill or atheism is the reason of why everyone scores over 30, it's soooooo stupid. Btw almost all of the all time greats played in the 90's.

The last play was not a back court violation?
He didnt catch it on the front court but the back court so it is allowed but if he catched it like 2 seconds earlier it would have been a backcourt violation
It's actually a specific exception with regards to it being the last 2 minutes of the 4th period. Copy/pasted from the NBA rulebook: "Any ball out-of-bounds in a team’s frontcourt or at the midcourt line cannot be passed into the backcourt. On all backcourt and midcourt violations, the ball shall be awarded to the opposing team at the midcourt line, and must be passed into the frontcourt.
EXCEPTION: During the last two minutes of the fourth period and the last two minutes of any overtime period, the ball may be passed anywhere (frontcourt or backcourt) on the court. However, if the ball is thrown into the frontcourt and an offensive player on the court fails to control the ball and causes it to go into the backcourt, his team may not be the first to touch the ball."
