It’s good to see people drinking mate outside South America, but unfortunately the way you prepared it, was incorrect.
1.: You have to fill the calabasa or mate 2/3-3/4 of the way.
2.: You should pour the water “sobre la bombilla” which means near the bombilla, to leave space for the dry herb on top for later.
3.: you should never leave the water in the mate, you have to drink it immediately.
4.: You have to refill a mate about 15-20 times. It should last for 1-2 HOURS!!!
5.: You never ever touch the bombilla!!!!!! It’s the rudest thing! And also, WHY DO YOU WASTE YERBA BY MAKING 3 at the SAME time!!?????
