    Having traveled around the world a couple of times, I have found that the majority of hotels have a check out time of about mid-day, some even a bit later. Therefore I leave my packed luggage in the room, go out to the beach/shops etc. then come back, shower, change clothes and check out and wait in the lobby for a couple of hours with a couple of beers. Why check out so far ahead of the required check out time and then entrust your bags with a bell boy?

      You clearly haven’t traveled very extensively if you’ve never heard of evening flights. If checkout is midday at your flights not until 10pm , that’s several hours you need to store your bags somewhere or lug them around with you

    I would like to see an investigation as to why the BBC is paying 3 presenters for this show

      Exactly. Seems like the licence fee payer is being ripped off!!!!

      BBC is telling stories to fill the time. Any investigation should end in prosecution. Crimes in UK are by design to shift public focus away from poor governance.

    No matter how many stars a hotel gives itself or is given, cleanliness and safety should ALWAYS be paramount.

    Who on earth buys a timeshare as an "Investment"? In the next episode, Travel expert Simon Calder will be showing you where to pick up the best value prostitutes in Bangkok, from freelancers to Ladyboys all at under 20 quid a pop.

  • @cassandra3862
    @cassandra3862 Před 2 lety +2

    Why on earth would anyone pay 9,000quid plus an annual fee and service charges, for a week in January. In England? I don’t understand.

    A local travel agent warned me that, on the continent, a 4 star hotel is really only comparable to a 3 star hotel in 🇨🇮 or 🇬🇧

    I'd never let my bags out of my sight. My daughter had 3 suitcases with thousands of dollars of clothes stolen from a locked luggage storage place at a bus station. The locked compartments had been broken into. The bus station manager didn't care and didn't want to know about it.

    • @ultraboombean
      @ultraboombean Před 4 lety

      At my work even though our lockers have a lock there is a notice about keeping your important belongings with you...because the company is not responsible if they are stolen. So I assume these bus places may be the same.

      @@ultraboombean My daughter couldn't carry all the suitcases on foot all around the town to job interviews. Plus she was looking for a flat in that city and had arrived on the bus and had job interviews as well as interviews with property agents.

      Yes, agree. I'd be super suspicious if something was that cheap (that's about 20$ Canadian for me) and I know there's NOTHING we could get anywhere in Canada - not even the crappiest motel.

    • @sandgrownmanc6614
      @sandgrownmanc6614 Před 5 lety

      And about £6 a night per person would have actually made it to the hotel owners, since everyone takes a cut!!

    Instead of judging hotels by their rating, just read reviews from previous guests.

    Timeshares are all a huge ripoff. It's like a pyramid scheme. For 9 grand this couple could go on a luxury cruise every year.

    The first couple should have called the police.
    Even though time short, they would be in a stronger position with a police local report.
    So the bright pink case plus 2 other items luggage gone...n nobody else's???
    Just travel light n are n never leave any valuables in luggage dept.
    Bright pink one moved by itself, n they believed Thomson reviewed d CCTV!
    You don't get heard if you don't speak up.
    Use local language notice on fully packed cases if you are checking ng out late, maids know you're leaving so bits n bibs left around are "thrown out"!
    Put your number on n Property of xxxx, etc.

    I had a time share when I was married, luckily as a part of our divorce settlement my x was lumbered with it😊 the site fees kept going up. I might add though in the time we did own it we had some fantastic holiday. I'm just glad though in the end he was lumbered with time share, I on the other hand ended up with a good divorce settlement 😊
