@@patriklenck1735 I've got a 24V 3.2, but ya I get what you mean. VR6 is just a tricky motor when it comes to managing heat and balance and so forth.

I remember a few years ago seeing side by side 6s was insane. Watching side by side 5s out of 4 cylinders is absolutely bonkers.

I remember around 2009 when outlaw vs extreme was just barely scratching the 6 second range with 6.90's. Here we are 14 years later with them doing MID 5's lol

4500 HP Viper is insane. These cars are crazy fast. 5 years ago going 5's in the quarter mile was unheard of now their almost creeping into the 4's. I know Cleetus is out gunned but ive got a feeling that hes gonna build something crazy fast for World Cup next year
I read in a comment section yesterday that he is possibly thinking about a Pro Mod Superbird, don't know if its true or not.

Thing is, he's not outgunned. He's got the SAME SMX as that Viper. Mullet's problem is that it's still using a lot of the orignial El Camino chassis when everyone else is on a full tube chassis that can actually put that kind of power down to the road without blowing the tires off.

It was the 2nd year in a row that it was sold out. I was speaking with someone while walking down to the track, and they hadn't bought tickets yet, and the announced over the loud speakers it was sold out at 10am that morning. Crazy that people think they can still by tickets in person even though they mentioned it last year and all over socials that tickets are online only.
Seeing that world record pass yesterday was insane!
It still blows my mind that I'm watching FWD cars pull 7s. It's insane.

Previous Fastest Audi was Bulgarian Its Based on the 5cylinder platform if I am not mistaken, and its capable of more. The owner of the car is a beast and i reckon the record might be coming back to him in the near future. I am happy people are finally seeing how capable is the vr6 engine.
HST will probably lower it even more they are ahead on the development cycle over the 5 cylinder with their VR6 platform it's a full billet block with a custom adapted liberty HST can still cut more weight as well so I predict HST will probably be under 6.5 in a few months specially if they hit Orlando in a few weeks

Those import pro mod doorslammers are insane. Never would have thought there would be pro mod style 4 and 6 cylinder cars. Are there other pro series for these cars or just events like this? I can't imagine how expensive they are to build.

They run a class in Australia for these. Same thing V6, Inline 4/6 full chassis cars, 5's and 6 second passes.
They have serious that starts in Florida
Orlando/Australia/Puerto Rico have the biggest races for these year round outside of this Maryland event

I like ol cleeter and crew but I can completely understand why alot of people don't wanna run at some events with him or giving other cars a handicap against cleetus. He's got an entire full time paid race team. Plus a huge following that makes him alot of income to buy and build better than most. Think of it this way. Alot of these Drivers work "regular" jobs and only have late nights and weekends to race, repair, or upgrade. Cleetus and crews job is to literally fix and improve his race cars. They have nothing but time to perfect these vehicles. Where as most people are doing it themselves with a friend or 2 with limited time and way less time at private track sessions. Tbh I think mullet is in the exact class he needs to be in. Unfair to him...... yeah kinda. But if he's in the lower class he'll dominate it most of the time. Plus we all know mullet has been headed to promod levels for a while now. Now he's in a class with cars that are actually competitive against mullet. This will also push him to run higher classes more often and make mullet faster
The rules are the same for everybody. Its not about money or time to dedicate, they were the ones last year outgunning people down in warriors vs tres cuarto and cleetus didn't complain then.. The bigger problem is cars running 5.80s not bumped up to the top class, but i suspect in 2024 they will get the same treatment and be bumped up
Mullet will never compete with Promods. It's a fucking stock car with tubes stuck to it. It has stock frame rails and rear end geometry. He would have to rebuild the ENTIRE car to compete in this class. You really think dudes are building 5 second cars in their garage on nights and weekends? No, Cleeter isn't even probably the wealthiest guy on the line half the time. Get real.
@@mikescherrer4923 I feel ya, he is unlikely to be competitive with the current set up. He definitely needs to work on rear suspension and weight distribution. However he is fairly close to running a high 5. If he continues to push for time slips like that he will have no choice but to run with pro mods which means he will have to figure out how to be competitive. He's already said he's aiming for 5's with mullet. That 5.99 he's aiming for will eventually happen. Then he'll push for 5.80s and so on. Mullet is heading that direction. That's the name of the game. But being in this class challenges him and will likely push him to do exactly what everyone is saying can't be done. Just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done. A bunch of people doubted mullet several times on its journey to where it is now. N look at it...
