YBB NRW goes Shanghai - Concert at Nanjing-Road

From 13th to 19th Sep. 2018 the YBB NRW was in China at the Shanghai Tourism Festival. This included the participation in the grand opening parade as well as several smaller performances.
At Nanjing Road the participating groups were able to perform on a big stage in front of a great crowd (video and sound shown here as recorded by Go Pro). At over 30 °C and 80 % humidity the performance was hard work, but even more fun. The same applies for the incredible parade two nights before through Shanghai ( • YBB NRW goes Shanghai ... ). Thousands of people were cheering on the streets and at several stages throughout the city with even a live broadcast on Chinese television. Before our performance at Nanjing Road, we played a similar set in front of the infamous Pearl Tower the day before, a landmark in Shanghai´s famous skyline. To conclude our journey, we had the opportunity to show our symphonic side in one of Shanghai´s theatres. In a calmer, but still energetic atmosphere, we had great fun presenting our whole repertoire.

Vom 13.09. bis 19.09.2018 war die YBB NRW in China beim Shanghai Tourism Festival. Dieses beinhaltete die Teilnahme an der Großen Eröffnungsparade sowie mehrere kleinere Auftritte.
An der Nanjing Road durften die teilnehmenden Gruppen auf einer großen Bühne vor einem tollen Publikum auftreten (Video und Sound sind mittels einer GoPro aufgenommen). Bei über 30 °C und mehr als 80 % Luftfeuchtigkeit war es zwar besonders anstrengend, doch auch diese Herausforderung haben wir mit großer Spielfreude bewältigt. Das gleiche gilt für die unglaubliche Parade durch die Stadt zwei Abende zuvor, welche sogar im chinesischen Fernsehen übertragen wurde. Vor unserem Auftritt an der Nanjing Road spielten wir das Konzertprogramm auch noch vor dem berühmten Pearl Tower, einem der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Shanghai‘ Skyline. Zum Schluss unserer Reise konnten wir in einem Theater in Shanghai unsere symphonische Seite zeigen. In einer ruhigeren, aber trotzdem voller Energie geladenen Atmosphäre, konnten wir dort unser gesamtes Repertoire präsentieren.
