Some people misunderstand this fight. Captain Falcon would have won with or without the Blue Falcon. They just had him use it to style on Johnny since it's such an iconic part of F-Zero.
Yea no I call bullshit on that, ajonny definitely would win in a one on one fight without the blue falcon and would easily stand up to the blue falcon too, probably wouldn't win but still.

Johnny would actually make a very good Captain Falcon, all things considered. He is very strong, and has plenty of training as a plus. And he's just got that charisma any Falcon should have. Lol.
Most of the time when people react to this particular battle, they call foul about the use of the Blue Falcon car.
While it’s understandable, Death Battle has to use everything that the character can use. At least, as much as their research shows.
It makes sense he can summon his car he does it alot of times and it's a part of him
Their bread and butter is triggering the opposing fandom. Not as much fun when the dislike button is hudden

Not like I even *_NEEDED_* it. The car was honestly just for show, the Falcon Punch was what did him in.
If you want a more brutal blowout battle, then Homelander vs Omni-man (The Boys vs Invincible, both very bloody shows.) is horrifyingly gory and its quality is amazing!

This was one of those fights that's just too easy to predict because Johnny Cage just doesn't have ANYTHING that stacks up to Captain Falcon. Captain Falcon is just that guy, he's him

This is one of my favourite fights they've done, definitely in my top 5. The characterisation of Johnny and Falcon are amazing and the final blow is so. Fucking. COOL.

I was gonna say Captain Falcon while his own series is not well known nowadays he is very well known from Super Smash Bros.
If Bethany ends up winning, I feel like she's far too nice to actually be all that vicious to Ken's costume choice.
Ken on the other hand I can absolutely see picking whatever he feels is funny to him for both of them.

It seems that a lot of people aren't getting this.
F-Zero is not a big seller. This is why the whole idea of a coming up with a unique gimmick is necessary for Nintendo, because they'd need that to be the selling point not simply the IP which other series can simply use. Mario Kart sells on name alone, F-Zero does not.
Now I've seen some people point out games like Redout and Fast Racing Neo as examples of success. These are indie games on rather small budgets. People will not accept an F-Zero game made on a similar budget. So Nintendo making a game at that budget would just result in people turning their noses up at it, and if Nintendo spend more on the budget then the amount they make from the game sales will be trivial to non-existent.
Not to mention why use resources towards a game with such small returns when you can use those resources on something that will give bigger returns?
I'd like to see the series come back, hell there's many long dormant franchises from Nintendo I'd like to see come back. But people really need to accept that the probability of this happening is very small.
I think people would welcome a low budget F-Zero so long as the gameplay was fun
I would highly recommend watching the first MK movie, Bethany. In my opinion, it's the greatest video game movie adaptation, it still holds up to this day, and even if you were to judge it as a teen-rated martial art movie, it still is very entertaining. And let's not forget the legendary theme song.

@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 u should watch both the originals and the new one they released a few years ago, plus there's a 2nd one in the making I believe.
Also there's a few TV series I think as well although I've not seen them.

If you guys are ever interested in learning more about the videogame universe of "F-Zero" there's a hilarious neat video called "F-Zero GX: All Pilot Movies" that showcases every pilot from the game with short gags and other animations. It's something of a cult classic, since the actual game series hasn't gotten a new game since early 2000s. (Or actually, maybe it will make you learn less and fill you with confused questions instead....)

I get where Beth is coming from. I’ve rooted for one fighter over the other countless times in death battle but that was only when I knew only one of the combatants in the fight and I knew both of these characters. So favoritism didn’t overrule my opinion of the results.

In one of them I marathoned an entire series in preparation but it only made me painfully aware of the utter weaknesses of the key character as opposed to the other one.

The orginal Mortal Kombat is still loved and still surprises me how its still compared to the 2020 version......even if the fights were rather corny theatrical combat is still hard to do cause 1 wrong move and someone can get injured worse than what it looks on movie....Jacky Chan is the perfect example

( There was a showcase for a new game on Nintendo direct recently but i really don't care it looks like a dang mobile game. Huge disrespect for this cool game which also had a great soundtrack)

I still feel, no spoilers, like they had the right winner for the wrong reasons. Both of them have way more effective and destructive moves than were shown, and the winner even had her strongest move shown in footage but not addressed or used in the fight.

Cage actually did learn to use the green boost at will but that's a little too far as it's only a small reference as Cassie can use it too but Falco did have to use his car as he was single handly losing and cage beat a elder God which is way stronger than a God so yeah sheer power cage actually has the w but it can be a little selective
Kinda missed the part where the Cages' green aura is specifically meant to counter gods, which is why Johnny and Cassie could hold their own vs Shinnok. It does not boost their power to god-tier, just helps protect them from and pierce the defenses of divine beings in a magical sense.
And even then, Johnny (or even Shinnok, who Johnny scales to, outside of highballing the Raiden explosion feat) doesn't have much in the way of pure feat strength to back him up compared to the feats Captain Falcon actively has displayed.
Fun Fact: Jeet-Kune-Do isn’t as much a martial art but a philosophy. It’s essentially predecessor to MMA but more for street fighting as the basics are moves and techniques borrowed from other martial arts. In fact Bruce Lee is widely considered the father of MMA due to the philosophy of Jeet-Kune-Do. So Mortal Kombat saying Luke Cage mastered Jeet-Kune-Do isn’t necessarily true.

It's true, because it says he did just that. Whether it's a fighting style or a philosopy, Johnny has mastered it. It's obvious that the MK creators were basically saying Johnny Cage uses the same fighting style as Bruce Lee, and is just as good.

Honestly, this battle was well staged up until the end, but said end is downright stupid: the battle was Johnny vs Falcon, not Johnny vs Falcon AND HIS SUPERCAR!
You want to make Falcon win because of his superior stats? Fine!
Making Falcon win because his signature vehicle enters the scene is downright dumb... imagin these:
-anyone vs any Power Ranger, the Ranger wins by using his zord
-anyone vs Darth Vader, Vader wins because he calls an orbital bombardament with the Death Star
-anyone vs Megatron, Megatron wins by shooting them with the cannons of the Nemesis.
It's dumb!
Especially because, while there are characters whose identity and powers are intrinsecally connected to their vehicles/gadgets/armors (Iron-Man, Tron Bonne, D-Va, Dick Dastardly, etc) there are others where said vehicles anf co are just a surplus without which the character can function perfectly on his own, Captain Falcon being one of those characters.
But... falcon literally has the ability to summon his car to him at will. Why wouldnt it be included? It's like saying iron man cant use the house party protocol.

The point of a death battle is to find who would win with thier basic equipment. Falcon has a literal telekinetic link to his car. That's base equipment

Captain falcon is literally a racer first and foremost. All his attacks were improvised for smash first, so a non canon fighting game, later implemented into the anime and never showed up in the main games. His character IS his car
