SO glad we got him! Welcome to the Nation, A.T.!!⚜⚜⚜⚜
Hopefully he can replace Thomas. Thomas should be able to play in 3-4 games this year before he's injured, if Perry can step up he could be a great #2 behind Olave. I still think Olave is WR1, even with a fully healthy Thomas. Olave, Shaheed, Thomas, and Perry makes my knees quiver in anticipation. Do you understand what I'm saying, Sir Akeredun?
@@self-righteousideologue9398 💯⚜ Our receiver room is out of this world!
I like how athletes are seen as dumb jocks by most people but even the most average player has understanding of their role and their physique that most people could never grasp
It’s hilarious actually given most athletes need to be good in school. I think it’s just a thing insecure folks came up with.
I think people form this thought in high school were it can often be true, and don’t realize that the players who make it to the pros have to be smart in addition to athletically gifted
I agree, but remember that football smarts don’t necessarily translate to traditional smarts.
@@AidenBF56 maybe but NFL prospects and players have bachelor’s degrees at a far higher rate than the general public who thinks they’re dumb.
@@AidenBF56 but remember the best football players go to top schools in the nation every year
Kid has a good head on his shoulders. Shows he is still willing to be better then he is now and considering his tape he has real potential to be special.
I agree. I think he is very underrated especially in a relatively down wr class I would think he had more hype around him? Make him a New England Patriot!
@@austinlowell8829we wasted a pick trading up 120 for a kicker we had this kid at 120
I know I don’t understand why we kept letting him slide only to take 3 guards a kicker and a punter. First team since 2000 to take a kicker and punter in the same draft. Thats gm belichick for ya!
I could listen to him talk routes for hours
Welcome to New Orleans I'm looking forward to seeing you play in the dome!
I love how focused and detailed he is. I can't wait to see him get with Carr and the other recievers.
One of the most insightful interviews of any college player ever! You guys do not disappoint
Appreciate that very much - just giving AT the chance to shine through, and he does.
The way he compartmentalizes information is so neat
OMG I love him so much, he's my draft crush, I want him on my team, no matter if we draft him "higher" than where he should be, he will be totally worth it
He ah Saints
It's hard to believe he stayed on the board so long. The studying, the dedication to detail, and the willingness to improve his craft. Man, I was hoping we'd draft him. I'm hoping he has a long and very productive career in the league.
I am shocked he was still there for the Saints to grab. Who Dat!
WHO DAT babies! Re-visitng after last night. This is why Bootleg is the best.
Who Dat! Welome to the Saints!
This was a great interview! Love that you guys let A.T. just riff. Great stuff!
When he said "I'm gonna break it down..." we were all in.
@@ejsnyder5734 Glad you guys did. Just now going through the series. Really enjoyed Zavala and Turner interviews as well.
God damn he smart asf. Great interview!
Yes he is... and thank you!
God, I love that kid. Gonna be a top-10 WR for me, with a pretty unique skill-set for this small receiver class.
Awesome interview, dude is really sharp.
Great interview guys. This is the type of guy I wanted added to the Giants receiver room. Looking forward to the draft.
Here from Draft WOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT A STEAL for my Saints
I admire his ability to improvise after play breaks down especially with his size
Dude is the best WR in this draft and it ain't even close. Those who know 🏈 turn on the 📸
I love where his head is at. This kid is an OC's dream.
Love this kid both as a WR prospect & personality wise. He's my Cooper Kupp of this class (although apparently decent amount faster & maybe a bit more athletic) that while doesn't have elite or special athletic traits and isn't a power/physical WR despite his height & decent build, he is very good at what pretty much always translates to the NFL successfully at the WR pos (just like Kupp).... and man could he be a great fit in Sea working in that Waldron LAR style passing game with DK & TL. Really the only other WR prospect I'd trust to come in & expect to be ready to go & regularly contribute like an established, better quality vet week 1 in Waldron scheme is Josh Downs (Tyler Lockett 2.0).
Maybe this is something y'all might be able to answer for me, the 1 thing I haven't heard anything about 1 way or the other about AT Perry is his run blocking effort & ability...
Hot take but bro should be WR 3-4 in this class
Great interview
Amazing interview
Appreciate that.
And the Saints got him!!! Who Dat Nation!!!
Vikes please. JJ needs a new friend.
Welcome to New Orleans AT!
I have a hobby of rating skill position players before the draft without corrupting my viewpoint by reading the "experts" first.
Interestingly enough, the running back I liked the most was Kendre Miller and the wide receiver I liked the most was A.T. Perry.
The Saints drafted them both. Can't believe he went in the 6th round; what a steal. Other GMs will rue the day.
The Saints also picked up Derek Carr and Jamaal Williams.
They are bringing back Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Juwan Johnson, Taysom Hill, Michael Thomas, Tre'Quan Smith and Jameis Winston.
Wow, they have a lot of weapons. Lookout NFC.
I'm a lifelong Eagles fan and they are strong, but this Saints team now gives me cause for concern.
BTW, if I had to pick a player comparison for A.T., I would say that although he is taller, his movement reminds me of Reggie Wayne
Good luck A.T. You are a stud!
I love AT such a cool person , got a signed jersey by him. GODEACS
Can we touch on the stretching aspect for A.T., even though this is a football podcast, how athletes are trained is so key.
I am only speaking on this cause I know. Still, when I received my first diploma at 20 for PT and training, they emphasized the importance of EVERY aspect that is included in a strength program, which does include "Flexibility Training." Yes, training flexibility is actually an aspect of weight training. You can simply think about yoga. Man, even if this kid doesn't become an all-time receiver, he will definitely find his way as some kind of mentor, whether in the NFL or not. This also just proves that no matter your size, orientation, culture or genetics, YOU CAN rewrite the history book and achieve results that are unheard of or even seen less often, like in A.T. Perry's case of being extremely nimble and flexible, although he is so heavy and tall.
It's probably cuz he practices the tricky catches and has for years. Static stretching doesn't replicate playing positions or getting into said positions at 80%+ speed.
How did this guy not get drafted early? Thank God we got him!
Wow what an interview with the future New York giant
Welcome to Saints who dat
He's gonna be going against AJ Terrell twice a year now hes with the Saints ⚜️
Damn he smart and he part of the Saints too they got a crazy fucking steal!
SM-57s sound great. Everyone should have one.
Pair his route running with JSN's route running......#LetsGoTexans 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
This kid is special.
Who Dat ⚜️⚜️⚜️
I know this is a hot take but this interview snuck him into my top 5 wr in this draft class and tbh I don’t think he’s my 5
I really don't know if he'll be there in the 3rd but man I want the Panthers to get this guy
He won’t be going R2 most likely. R3-4 seems to be his range so it’s entirely likely
@@jackpabich763 possibly but the Panthers gave up their own 3rd to the Pats for Matt Corral and only have the Niners 3rd. I think he’ll go between the Panthers 2nd (#39) and that 3rd (#93).
Sorry Panther… Go pound somewhere else 😂!!!
Who Dat!!!
@@robertanderson8050 ya hate to see it, I'm really surprised he dropped as low as he did
I really think this guy could take advantage of any increased opportunity he could see if Mike Thomas misses time.
Yes, Bears Go Get him!!!! This dude is FrFr WR1. AJ Green 2.0
Stud
I really like him! Might be a top 3 WR in this weaker class.
"With pick 57 of the 2023 NFL draft the New York Giants select..." 🤞🙏
Let’s go AT!
How does someone so talented, who studies the game and loves it, basically go undrafted???
Was he injured often or something because he looks like a perfect draft prospect
⚜️⚜️⚜️
I can’t wait until EJ Perry throws a td to AT Perry next season.
Why you spell Derek Carr like that?
Reminds me of Ocho Cinco and Justin Jefferson a lil bit
Dudes so lost and overwhelmed by basic questions.
WR1 watch
Marcus Colston 2.0
AT is my WR2 in this draft behind only JSN. This dudes legit and is gonna be a STEAL wherever he lands. Hopefully he can come to Atlanta and work against Terrell every day. Iron sharpens iron
He's a saints now
WHO DAT
Dudes mad
I can’t wait to hear how he’s magically trash now to falcon fans cause he’s still in black and gold 😂⚜️
@Cdrop63 lol right?
With the 45th pick of the 2023 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select...
Who Dat ⚜️
Well if the nfl thing doesn’t work out he can clearly just go be a personal trainer🤣🤣
I want him on the bills
Sleeper pick,, Go Bills,, Josh would love you
He 6''3 bruh not 6''5
Please take with some college linebackers
Who Dat!!
maan I really hope the Bears take him
Really want the Titans to draft him round 2 or 3!
To bad
@@adrianbriscoe7261 yeah, I really don't understand how he dropped as far as he did and the Titans didn't take him. Something had to have been going on medically or off the field for it to even make some amount of sense.
id like this man on the packers. that is all
Chargers⚡⚡⚡
I pray he falls to 54 to Chicago 🙏🏻
Vikings need to draft this guy..perfect pairing with JJ
Work on them hands
I want the Chicago bears to draft him. its a long shot but he has talent.
C’mon cards do the right thing n take this guy in the third round
Round 2 underrated WR that could be the steal of the draft? Lets be real, likely a Steeler.
Likely a Saint ⚜️
dude on the left lowkey talks a lot
He one of the WR i want the Chiefs to take.
Saint Time , Chiefs didn't want him , good they got a Tight End. He definitely has a higher ceiling that Adam Troutman
Whodat....I like him
Titans finna grab him
This guy is full of himself. Thinks he’s so sweet cause he can articulate a simple release off the line.
It’s alright man you can just say you don’t know ball. We will all understand.
@@BootlegFootball lol
@@INKovari I hope you are joking😂
After closely concentrating on football receivers & about every positive & negative attribute that contributes to their success or lack there of for 50 years & after watching every single play of A.T.’s collegiate career, resulting in record breaking performance, even when other teams would double team him, think I have a 1,000% better perspective on receiver talent than someone who saw a few tapes & doesn’t understand an interview with two top experts on what it takes for a good college player make the extremely challenging transition to become a good NFL receiver!! A.T. could never fool these guys & he obviously impressed them with his quick, extremely knowledgeable responses to their probing questions, even surprising them with some responses that even exceeded their high expectations!
