this seems like a great addition or expansion to get me back into SMT5, I like how there seems to be more characters and arching storylines, the original release back in '21 just had a very isolated feeling to it, that some may like, but for me this definitely seems to bring some more context to the world from other perspective than just the original player character
I hope the next SMT5V video will be game mechanics focused.
Endless Ocean is about taking pictures and cataloguing species.
It is a monster collecting game.
Bro June 14th can't come fast enough
I agree.
Yeah I'm extremely excited for Metaphor buuut SMTV:V is definitely getting me a little more hyped. June 14th will be peak
I'm more excited for smt because it's closer to us than Metaphor.
as a hardcore dragon quest fan im literally screaming in my head right now. us dragon quest fans ALWAYS get the short stick, i cant even.
I'm actually kind of amazed that it's actually more difficult to play previous DQ games on current generation game consoles compared to Final Fantasy. The Enix side of S-E should have tried broadening the series popularity ages ago, but the last major time DQ was under the mainstream gaming spotlight was, in my opinion, when the Hero was added to Smash Ultimate
And thinking about it, DQ has always been a series that sold the best in Japan and despite the Switch being the most successful console of all time in Japan, is actually kind of surprising the low amount of mainline games that are available. Yes, S-E ported XI, X (including an off-line version), but aside from some low effort ports from the first games in the DQ series and some spin-off like Builders, Monsters and that panned The Adventure of Dai game, Enix hasn't bothered to make some remake of VIII, IX or another mainline game. The HD-2D has been in development for much longer that other similar games like Octopath and Live-A-Live. Enix has lost a lot of potential sales in Japan and Worldwide
I wasn't interested in smt5 but with the vengeance version seems more interactive. Peaking my interest 😊
But what about which systems DQ 3, DQ12 are going to be on or EVEN IF DQ3's remake WILL be released THIS year Daybreak/KURO 1's dub is THIS year so theirs NO way its Sequel WILL be released before THIS year ends and even if it does theirs still going to be a 3rd game in that series in JAPAN.
God I hope DQ3 2d HD is not Switch/Nintendo exclusive.
Same here.
Dragon Quest III should be targeting the Switch, since Enix cannot ignore the potential audience for the game in Japan, but they should also release the game on as many platforms as they can, and that includes the PS4/5, Xbox Series and PC.
As for DQXII, that's difficult to determine. I don't know if we'll see a repeat of Dragon Quest XI situation where Enix and Armor Project realized that they would limit their sales by releasing the game on the PS4, so that is why they made a 3DS version, because it was the most popular console in Japan
I agree about Daybreak 2 not releasing in the west before the year ends considering NISA are also working on Ys X.
Atlus really going wild in the year 2024, and I'm here for it.
Great episode!!! You definitely got me drinking the Cool Aid on the SMT5: Vengeance! I'm on the 2nd TLOH: Trails of cold steel 2 for the Vita and it's awesome so you definitely need to check that series of games!
Still waiting for DQX to get released world wide...
Cant wait for dq hd2d
As someone who put over 900 hours into SMT V and loved every minute of it, I am very eager to play SMT V: Vengeance. The original version of SMT V is my third favorite game of all time and SMT V: Vengeance is looking like it has the potential to be an even better game. This is my most anticipated release of 2024 and will definitely be my favorite game of the year if it matches or exceeds the original in quality.
Dude, brotha (or sista)…I’m over 400hrs on hard mode and currently aiming at Demi-Fiend. You eclipse me: nice work! I’m more excited for it than the Elden Ring dlc its second only to Black Myth Wukong.
It’s looking so sick on the stronger systems. Looking forward to the obsession again lol!
Will DQM3 get a Professional expansion?
I wonder if those of us who already bought SMTV will get the vengeance update for the current version.
🎵“F*** no baby!”🎶 You must not know Atlus loves forcing people to buy the “new” version of their older games at full price with no option to update the original version.
SMT V finally breaking out of 30fps! so excited!
Playing persona 4 and sea of stars! Actually having a good time w both! Still need to play my smt5!
hey men is this the real day jun 14 not 21 of jun???
ASMR endless ocean streams incoming
I have this on pre order
Now that you have a steam deck, you have no excuse to play the Trails in the Sky series! (They say they’re not deck certified, but it works perfectly!)
It's going to be my birthday on June the 14th, so I get to spend most of that day playing SMTV:V, heck yeah!
I’m excited for everything else here but thank God for some DQ news finally. At least a little something. Agree about the diving game. DK if I’ll play it.
It has been almost 3 years since they showed us DQ3 2D HD remake and I would love to know why the radio silence. I hope they do not make it Switch exclusive or something similarly stupid.
It's really weird and even a bit concerning. We're talking about an HD-2D remake of one of the most beloved Japanese RPGs of all time, which was already remade twice on the Super Famicom and Game Boy Color. And considering that other HD-2D games like Octopath Traveller 1 & 2, Triangle Strategy and the Live-A-Live remake were done without any resemblance of having development issues, it makes the DQIII remake seem like it should have come out years ago
Now, I can imagine it being tied to the Switch, considering that the DQ brand has always had a closer relationship with Nintendo consoles, but the series hasn't been a Nintendo exclusive series and DQIII remake seems like a game that could run on pretty much all current game consoles. I imagine there's something happening at Enix and Armor Project
It also doesn't help that Dragon ball's creator Akira Toriyama passed away at age 68 a MONTH ago so I'm not even sure HE helped work on DQ3's remake BEFORE he died his death may end up making it so that DQ3's remake will be released but possibly NOT this year.
@@veghesther3204 I don't think Toriyama's tragic passing has affected the development of Dragon Quest III Remake. I think even during the development of DQXI he was that involved in the character and monster design, he did the designs for the main charcters but many DQ always recycle the monster designs from previous games. I think even some of his assistants have contributed to the visual development of DQ spin-offs like Builders and Monster
Not to mention that being a remake, most of the character design is already completed, as well as the music which is probably done by Sugiyama's successor
I personally believe that we haven't heard any news about DQIII Remake and DQXII due to changes happening inside of Square-Enix.
Just bought smtv wish I waited 💀
I guess you missed the news? SMTVV was announced during the February Partner Direct.
NAHOBINO WHITE HAIR WTFFFF
its a great time to be a square enix fan
I played the original smt5 for about 120 hours. I am not playing it again. I don't care if the content gets a 10 out of 10. Don't have that time
You'll change your tune come a few months
Completely understandable the first game was already pretty good
@@phillemon7664 Naw, have way too many games in my backlog. Probably about 150 and I buy new games all the time when they hit a good sale price. Currently played Unicorn Overlord and have about 45 hours on that and had it the first weekend.
I played it for like 2 hrs but I hate sand.
You will still
Nah! I like SMT games but I'll buy SMT VV after 5 years, after they'll release the definitive edition.😊
YOU KNOW ATLUS RIGHT?😅
RIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTT???! 😮
VV is the definitive edition, its literally V's maniax release, atlus doesnt do definitive editions of definitive editions
hi OJ
this is a really good channel and i appreciate that someone else is following all this news and putting it in one place. i love rpgs but it seems like the news about them can get buried unless you know where to look. i'm mega hyped for dragon quest 12 and smt vengeance
