While 'DIY' vehicle maintenance is not of any interest to me to do myself, I find the style of your presentation of these ideas fascinating. Neil, great video. Keep up the good work. I've had an idea for something fun for your channel. In a previous video, you'd mentioned about people using battered vans to deliver freight etc. There are a lot of Hauliers out there who take a sense of pride in maintaining their vehicle to a high standard. It's just an idea, but what if you got the people who watch your channel to send their best photo of their van in and make a little competition from it? Just something fun and hopefully it'd bring you some more followers also.
The last service my 520d had was done in an hour. This included an inspection and air and pollen filters. Although I’m grateful they were fast I can’t help think that not enough old oil would have drained out. 😮
My best mate is a vehicle tech for Mercedes cars all apprentices are trained to run vehicle up to normal running temp 90c then drain oil for 30 mins then refill to between min/max on dipstick or the electronic level indicator
