Remember how back in the day Josh wentto live in Venezuela and worked on a Lewis Oil Rig because it broke his heart to see Reva and HB Married to to each other. Sarah and Peter probably have the most "Extensive" Family in Springfield. On Lizzie's Side, there's The Spaulding Family, and on Jonathan's Side, there's There's Reva and her Family. Peter Lewis Reardon has Reardon Blood as well as Jessup and Thorpe Blood.
I would have loved for Crystal Chappel to guest star on the UK Soap Opera Eastenders. She could play an Old Friend of Sharon Mitchell Club Owner played by Letitia Dean who has been playing her on and off since it's debut in 1985 when she was only 15. In The UK they don't do SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) but they do DHS (Different Head Syndrome). The Kids "actually" grow up.
Josh probably felt "I spent too much of a time being a Caretaker, I ran the Business when Billy was in Jail and HB Retired, I gave Mindy away to Nick Spaulding, I "accepted" Vanessa's Marriage to Matt, and I had the worst Personal Life this side of the moon. Getting away would be a good "Tonic" for me.
Josh wasn't a good Father. He was too lenient and he didn't want to have the same drama that he and Billy had with HB back in the day. Shayne & Marah grew up in a Sea of Stepparents, none of which he or Reva really loved or cared about and they never learned stability. Marah sleeps with Jeffrey and Mindy sleeps with Roger Thorpe.

@@marilynwinsett6729 Yep. Alan was so manipulative of Beth after Phillip died. She was the only Family Link he had and since he had all of the Cards she didn't have a choice since she probably didn't have two of anything to her name. She was so co-dependent.
Alan Spaulding may had been a mean SOB but he does show a kind heart now and again.
